PAGE FIFTEEN Club And Social Features VFW Auxiliary Elects Delegates To 2 Conventions Delegates were elected to attend the State and National conventions of the VFW Auxiliary, at a meeting last night of the Sgt. Kichard Bechtel Auxiliary, VFW, held at the Post Home, 718 Chestnut Street. The State convention be held in Harrisuurg on June 14 and 15; the national convention, in Chicago from August 27 through September 1. Those to attend the State sessions ara Mrs.

Amelia Reznik, president of the local auxiliary; Mrs. Dorothy Speraw. Miss Kathryn Witmeyer, Mrs. Marie Weiser, Mn. Mary Whitman, Mrs.

Katherine Paine, Mrs. Katharine Wagner, Miss Betty Wagner and Mrs. Sara Fritz. Appointed for the national convention are Mrs. Reznik, Mrs.

Ruth O'Donnell, Weiser, Mrs. Fritt and Miss Minerva Glngrith. Mrs. Reznik presided at last meeting. Mrs.

Mary Whit- Department VA Hospital chairman, reported "on plans for a party at the VA Hospital on July 8. Mrs. Reznik gave an account of a recent meeting of District 18, at which Mrs. Weiser was elected a district guard. Two hundred and twenty-five delegates attended from 25 auxiliaries of the district.

A gift of cash was presented there to Ruth O'Donnell, of Lebanon, retiring district president. The next meeting of District 1,8 be held in Millersburg. Mrs. Mary Keenan is planning a birthday social for auxiliary members and friends on June 29. A aocial hour, followed the meeting.

July there will be only one business meeting, on the 17th. Hebron Couple Notes Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hotter ot .54 Moravian Street, Hebron, are receiving congratulations today as they observe their twenty- fifth wedding anniversary. They were In Campbelltown by the Rev.

David Weist Honored At Party Mrs. David Weist, 432 North 23rd Street, was the honored guest at a birthday party which was held in her home last Saturday. The table with the birthday cake was appropriately decorated for the occasion and she received' many beautiful and useful gifts. Given in marriage by her brother, George B. Stover, the bride wore a gown of white French organdy with illusion neckline In off-shoulder effect.

A bertha collar was embroidered with daisies. She wore a crown of seed pearls with an illusion fingertip veil, and carried white foses. Mrs. David Trauger, of Cleona, was matron ot honor. She wore a gown ot chartreuse chiffon with full skirt and sweetheart neckline, and a matching plctiiqre hat.

Her bouquet Was of" yellow carnations. Bridesmaids were John J. Blschoff, ot Bethel, and Miss Martha E. Haiges, of White Haven. Pa.

They wore peach, colored gowns with Chantilly lace bodices and marquisette skirts, and match- ing.picture hats. Their bouquets of pink, carnations. Judy Bordner, of Bethel, as flower girl, wore a powder blue French organdy dress and white slippers. Toder, of Wyomlsslng Park, Reading, served as best man. The men wore light business suits, maroon ties and white carnation bputorinieres. The ring hearer, Kenneth Matz, wore a white suit and maroon tie and socks. Following the ceremony, there was a reception in Vert's Banquet Hall, Fredericksburg, for 125 guests. Mr. and Mrs.

Deysher are spending a honeymoon in the Poconos, and will live in Fredericksburg after their return. For going away, the bride wore a white suit and black accessories, and a corsage of white roses. The bride is a graduate of West Chester State Teachers College and is doing graduate work at Syracuse University. She is a.mu- superviser in the Bethel Township schools. Mr.

Deysher, a graduate of Albright College and Temple University, a mathematics teacher in the Bethel schools. Mr. Mrs. Harry Wike Celebrate Their 25th Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs.

Harry Wike celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary on Saturday at their cottage, "The Lost Weekend," at Camp Strauss. They were the recipients of many silver gifts. Guests were entertained by two orchestras, and refreshments were served. Guests included: John Krach and Mr. and Mrs.

Harvey J. Miller officiating. The double ring ceremony was used. The bride's gown featured a marquisette skirt over satin, with rows ot lace at the bodice. The skirt ended in.

a long train, and the high neckline was made with an off-shoulder effect in Chan- tllly lace. The sleeves were long and tapering. Her fingertip veil was edged in Chantilly lace and was secured to a crown of lace arid seed pearls. She wore a triple strand of pearls, gift from the bridegroom, and she carried a white Bible with an orchid and ribboa streamers. Mr.

and Mrs. John La Rose, friends of the couple, served as the attendants. Mrs. Rose was gowned in blue satin, with marquisette overskirt. The dress was trimmed in pink, and she wore a pink headdress and pearls, and carried a Colonial bouquet of pink roses.

Farm Women's Group Meets At Levengeods' Mrs. Jay Levengood, of Kleinfeltersville, was hostess at the June meeting of Farm Women's Group No. 9, at her home. The program feature was a talk by Miss Paige Seely, home economics extension representative of Lebanon County, on the topic "The Difference Between a 'Housekeeper and a Homemaker." Mrs.

Levengood had charge of the devotional'period. Mrs. Louis Bennetch, vice-president, conducted the business session. Plans were made to hold a farm safety program at the July meeting. Sixteen members-attended, and, were served refreshments by the hostess after the meeting adjourned.
