WEDNESDAY MORNING, JULY 24, 1968 Overturned Truck Hit; Driver Killed A Louisville man, pinned in his panel truck after it overturned, was killed when truck was struck minutes, later, U.S. then Oldham County early yesterday. State police identified the accident victim as Gilbert L. Martin 24, of 1027 Baxter.

Martin's widow, the former Wanda Garber, and children, Kelly Ann, Donna Marie, and Gilbert L. Martin 4 months, were at General Hospital for minor injuries and released. The truck was struck by a car driven by Ray Perkinson, 22, of 5309 Robbs Lane, police said. Both vehicles were bound for Louisville. Perkinson and his two passengers, Mr.

and Mr. Elmore Braden, of Carrollton, were not injured, police reported. No charges were filed against Perkinson. Brown, Buckner, that her husband Mrs. Martin, told trooper Thomas had been having trouble with truck's headlights and lost control of the vehicle on a curving downgrade about two miles east of Prospect.

G. and Bruce Peyton and Mrs. W. G. Gash, all of Louisville.

Two Youngsters Hit by Cars; Both In Serious Condition Two young boys are in serious condition at General Hospital after being struck by cars in separate accidents yesterday in Louisville. Charles E.

Hayden, 3, of 605 S. 38th, was hit at 3:35 p.m. while crossing River Park Drive in the 3700 block. Police said the boy stepped from between two parked cars. The driver of the car, Archie Lee Townsend, 25, of 763 S.

Clay, was given a citation for not having an operator's license on his person. The boy, son of Mrs. Linda May Hayden, suffered head and internal injuries. Randell H. Lewis, 5-year-old son of Mrs.

She lived in Washington, D.C., but spent much of her political career in Michigan.

She became Democratic natio al committeewoman in that state in 1952 and was reelected in 1956 and 1960. Mrs. Price had been a member since 1956 of the executive committee of the national committee and Mrs. Price was among the found- Mrs. Price ers of the Democratic Advisory Council, which was organized in 1956.

Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey will deliver the eulogy at funeral services Friday morning in St. John's Church in Washington. Mrs. Price was born in New York City, attended Bryn Mawr College and lived in Ann Arbor, before moving to Washington.

She was the wife of Hickman Price Jr. A son, Marston, also survives. Other deaths: Sir Henry Dale, 93, winner of the 1936 Nobel Prize for medicine; at Cambridge, England. He shared the prize with Dr. Otto Lowei of Austria for their independent work on the transmission of nerve impulses to muscles.

Alfred Frenzel, 69, a former member of Parliament in West who was convicted there of espionage; in Czechoslovakia. Frenzel had been a member of the West German Bundestag's defense committee, where he had access to important military information, and reportedly was awarded a medal "for courage" when he returned to Czechoslovakia after spending several years of imprisonment in West Germany. James T. Babb, 69, former Yale University librarian and the man who raised the Yale library to its present. place as fourth largest in the country; at Haven, Conn.

While John F. Kennedy was president, he was named by Mrs. Kennedy assemble a White House library. The list of 1,780 books he compiled included authors of every era in U.S. history.

Donald C. Lillis, 63, a member of the New York Stock Exchange and president of the New York Jets professional football team; in Westerly, R.I. He was president of the Bowie Race Course in Maryland from 1952 to 1966. Deaths in Louisville Emmett Harvey, a vice-president of the Tobacco Workers International Union and a former Louisville resident, died Tuesday of a heart attack at his home in Eden, N.C. He was 64.

Harvey came to Louisville in 1947 as an international representative of the union. He was elected a vice during his 20-year stay here. After developing a heart condition in 1967, he took a leave of absence from the union's district office here and returned to North Carolina. He was a and a former member of the Shawnee Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs.

Rama Harvey; a son, David Harvey of GreensN.C.: two daughters, Mrs. Earl Page and Mrs. George Bolden, both of Reidsville, N.C., and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mt.

Herman Baptist Church, Eden. Burial will be in Eden. The body is at Fair Funeral Home, Eden. Harrison Clarence Wysong, a retired driver for Stratton and Terstegge died at 9:10 p.m. Monday at his home, 1803 Dixdale.

He was 71. Wysong was a native of Brownsville, and an Army veteran of World War I. Survivors include his widow, the former Addie Durbin. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St.

Matthias Catholic Church, Dixie Highway, Burial will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens. The body is at Owen Funeral Home, 2611 Virginia. Mrs. George Ray, the former Mary Elizabeth Moody, died at 3 p.m. Sunday at her home, 3502 Hale.

She 94. Mrs. Ray was a Jehovah's Witness. Survivors include a cousin, William Moody, and two nephews, John and Theodore Moody. The funeral will be Thursday at 3 p.m.

at Kingdom Hall, 733 Dixie Highway. Burial will be in Louisville Cemetery. The body is at A. D. Porter and Sons Funeral Home, 1300 W.

Chestnut. Haywerd Miles Powell, a barber at Luttrell's Barber Shop, died Sunday at his home, 678 S. Fifth. He was 59. Powell was a native of Brandenburg, and was a member of Elizabethtown, Christian Church.

Survivors include his widow, the former Mary, Lou Moore; two daughters, Mrs. Felker and Miss Nancy Powell, both of Elizabethtown, and four sons, Jack Robert E. and Haywerd Miles Powell all of Elizabethtown, and Patrick E. Powell, Pleasure Ridge Park. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m.

at Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd. Burial will be in Brandenburg Cemetery. George F. Johnson, an employe of Hobart Manufacturing died at 2:40 a.m. Tuesday at General Hospital.

He was 64 and lived at 517 N. 37th. Johnson was a native of Martin County and was a member of the Odd Fellows. Survivors include his widow, the former Lola Hensley; three daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Bailey, Mrs.

Laverne Thurman and Mrs. Charlotte Cox; two sons, Eugene and George F. Johnson and 19 grandchildren. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Dunn Memorial Funeral Home, 518 N.

26th. Burial will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens. James Henry Reed, 79, of 1032 S. Hancock, died at 11:10 a.m. Monday at Red Cross Hospital.

He was formerly of Wayne County, N.C. Survivors include his widow, the former Louise Mae Miller; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Lee Wilder, Moro, and a son, Elihue J. Reed, Helena, Ark. The funeral will be at noon Thursday at Rodgers Funeral Home, 951 S.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at All Saints Catholic Church at Taylorsville. Burial will be in Valley Cemetery there. The body is at Foreman Funeral Home, Taylorsville. Clarence Joseph Ruhs, 57, of 3657 Elderwood Way, died at 10 a.m.

Tuesday at his apartment. He was a retired painter and wallpaper hanger. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James Thompson, Chicago; five sons, William Ruhs, Saugus, Joseph Donald, John Alvin C. and Gerald Ruhs; his mother, Mrs.

Margaret Hausman Ruhs, and 13 grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1925 Lewiston Drive. The body will be at W.

G. Hardy Shively Funeral Home, 4101 Dixie Highway, after 1 p.m. Wednesday. Ray Allen Foley 21, of 3142 Crums Lane, died Tuesday at Ireland Army Hospital, Ft. Knox, Ky.

He was retired from the Army in February cause of illness after three years service. Survivors include his widow, the former Kathleen Benney; a daughter, Miss Marlena Rose Foley; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray A. Foley and his grandmother, Mrs.

Mattie Foley. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at W. G. Hardy Shively Funeral Home, 4101 Dixie Highway, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens.

The body will be at the funeral home after noon Wednesday. Mrs. Josephine Knebelkamp died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday at Ann Rest Home, 243 E. Mw Audubon Walnut.

She formerly lived mai 1303 Parkway, and was a member of Salem United Church of Christ. Survivors include a nephew, Frederick Sang, with whom she lived, and several other nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 2611 Virginia, with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Estate of $1.3 Million Is Left by Mrs.

Lang Mrs. Elsie Ahrens Lang, 1412 Willow, left the bulk of her $1,325,000 estate to her son, daughter and grandchildren by of terms of her will probated yesterday in Jefferson County Court. She made specific bequests totaling $12,300 to several individuals and set aside $50,000 to be held in trust for benefit of a friend, Miss Anita Jauckens, a Louisville school teacher. One-third of the residue will go to Mrs. Lang's son, Edward Ahrens of Princeton, N.J., and another third to her daughter, Mrs.

Betty Z. Russell, Colorado Springs, Colo. One-twelfth shares go to the grandchildren, Diane and Clark Russell and Amy and Andrew Ahrens. The Kentucky Trust Co. was named executor.

The will noted that an agreement executed in 1956 created an inter vivos trust, one between living persons, but its amount and terms were not disclosed. The funeral will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. at G. C. Williams Funeral Home, 1935 W. Broadway.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery on Thursday. Mrs. Lloyd J. Hendershot the former Norma Glenn, died at 10:45 a.m. Monday at Masonic Widows and Orphans Home, 3701 Frankfort.

She was 71 and had lived at the Masonic Home several years. Mrs. Hendershot was a native of Lyon County, and was past matron of the Louisville chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of Deer Park Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Sgt.

1. C. Fred G. Hendershot, of Washington, D.C., and Lloyd J. Hendershot, of Madisonville, a daughter, Mrs.

Stanley W. Greaves five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Pearson's, 1310 S. Third. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery.

Marvin Grady Wallace, a retired woodworker the Gamble was found dead Tuesday morning at his home, 742 S. Sixth. He was 71. Wallace was a native of Eaton, and 1 was a member of the United Methodist Church. Survivors include a brother, Lester Wallace, of Dalton, Ga.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Lebanon, National Cemetery. The body is at Dunn' Memorial Funeral Home, 518 N. 26th. Clarence T.

Beyerle, 57, of 6112 Athens Drive, died Tuesday at the Smith Transfer where he worked. Beyerle had been a truck driver for 35 years and was formerly with Huber Huber Motor Express. He was a member of Teamsters Local 89. Survivors include his widow, the former Edna Ditsch, and a daughter, Miss Nancy M. Beyerle.

The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church, 1816 Rangeland Road, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be at Russman Son Funeral Home, 1041 Goss, after 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Horace McClellan, 79, formerly of 2315 Gladstone, died at 12:50 p.m. at Anthony Hospital. She was the former, Nora Street Lucas, Baptist and Church. a member of Survivors include two sons, David L.

McClellan, Anchorage, and Howard L. McClellan, and two granddaughters. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Arch L. Heady Hikes Point Funeral Home, 4109 Taylorsville Road, with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery.

The body will be at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Wednesday.
