Christian TV station in Kentucky, WBNA, goes on the air at last By ROB CUNNINGHAM Staff Writer Years of disappointment and delay ended yesterday in an emotional moment of prayer and celebration as WBNA-TV, a Christian broadcasting station, went on tbe air from the top of Prayer Mountain in northern Bullitt County, Ky. Amens, hallelujahs and applause filled the air as station staff members and well-wishers joined hands to build, Rodgers said, with most of the money lent by Evangel Tabernacle to a separate, non-profit operating corporation, Word Broadcasting Network of America. Initially, religious and syndicated secular programs will be broadcast from 5 p.m. until midnight, with plans for round-the-clock programming eventually. Station officials plan talks next week with Storer Cable about having WBNA carried on cable television in Jefferson County.
