r ftgi Fourteen - Blythevffle '(ArJc.)' Courier News — Monday, 'June IT, IMS WATCH "OUR rr Our new facilities will be a unique blend of classical and contemporary styling which will give the building a highly modern appearance with a southern colonial flavor. Large marble white columns with bands of black granite will carry out a sort of modern antibellum theme. The public lobby will be a half-block long with its ceiling just over 15 feet high. An elevator will carry patrons and employes to the second floor where the bookkeeping department community room, directors' room and offices will be located. The 40x140 foot strip the present bank sits on will become a mall, with a few small trees planted on it. The $1 million investment will cover over 19,000 square feet. Mr. R. A. Porter, President, and other officers will be able to survey the entire operation via closed circuit television. The bank will operate in its present location until the new facilities are completed. The present bank was constructed shortly after World War I. We've given each of our customers the best service that we've known possible for the past 60 years. Time always moves ahead . . . but progress can go in two directions. Here in our bank, it's our em- ploye's job to make sure that the trend is always up, for our growth and prosperity are built on hopes, dreams and deeds of our people. As we consider past achievements, with pride in our friends and neighbors, we steadfastly resolve to do our share for tomorrow's aims and accomplishments.
