Bernard Corbett, 74, died Monday at Baptist Hospital East of complications of Shy-Drager syndrome. He was a retired instrument repairman for Louisville Gas Electric where he worked 39 years; an Army veteran of World War II; a member of Holy Name Bowling League and a past member of Knights of Columbus and Sportsmans League. Survivors: his wife, Catherine M. Corbett; a son, Daniel T. Corbett; daughters Anita M.

Blandford and Karen M. Tranter; sisters Charlotte Ryan, Shirley Greenwell and Sister Mary Catherine; and four grandchildren. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday, St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Lane.

He was a retired tool and die maker for Schumtz Manufacturing where he worked 25 years, and an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. Survivors: his wife, the former Nellie Gisiger; daughters Charnell Dean and Mary A. Diersen; two brothers, The Rev. William Diersen and Theodore Diersen; a sister, Thelma L. Diersen; and a grandson.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Pewee Valley. Burial: Floydsburg Cemetery, Crestwood. Visitation: 3-9 p.m.
