Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis L. Hawse, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The funeral at 10 a.m. Thursday at 0.

Mrs. Julia Ralston, 80, of 2812 Kleier died at 4:15 p.m. Monday at General Hospital. She was a native of Louisville. Survivors include three sons, George, John and Robert Ralston; four daughters, Mrs.

Julia Barker, Mrs. Clara Bush, Louise Middleton and Mrs. Laura Bates; 26 grandchildren and 35 greatgrandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Street Baptist Church, 2914 S.

Mrs. Edward R. Rau, 81, Imperial House Apartments, died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Suburban Hospital. She was the former Alberta E.

Hugh J. Ray 66, formerly of Louisville, died at 4 a.m. Tuesday at his home in Montgomery, Ala. He had been pastor at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church from 1950 to 1952. Survivors include his wife, the former Alyce Byers; four sons; a daughter, and 11 grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael of All Angels Church in Robinson Springs, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery. Fred Spearman, 59, of 629 W. Ormsby died at 11 a.m.

Monday at Jewish Hospital. He was a native of Marshall, and had been a corner salesman for The Courier-Journal and The Louisville Times. Survivors include his wife, the former Lucille Liggons; a son, Fred Spearman Jr. of Los Angeles; two daughters, Mrs. Mary L.

She was a member of the Emmaniel Baptist Church and a member of the Harmony Chapter Order of Eastern Star. intendent of the Whitley County Board of Education has filed a suit against the board charging that he was fired illegally. Harold Gordon, who was hired as school board superintendent last Novem ber, is suing for reinstatement and salary lost since his dismissal March 3. In suit, filed last week, Gordon claims the charges brought against him by a board member did not constitute, cause for his dismissal and did not conform to state law because no supporting. evidence was offered. Claims made in filing a lawsuit give only one side of a case.

The Federal Aviation Administration has ordered autopsies on three persons killed Monday afternoon in the crash of a light plane, State Police said.

The three Madisonville, residents died when their plane apparently exploded in a mountainous area of Pike County, about 16 miles south of Pikeville, during a thunderstorm, State Police said. Pike County Coroner Bradford Hall identified the victims as Edward Calorie, pilot and owner of the plane, Bobby Townsend, 33, and Robert Davidson.
