The Louisville seminary reportedly was the first educational institution to offer degrees in Nigeria. Roy Honeycutt, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary provost, visited Ogbomosho this summer and revised the relationship between the Louisville seminary and the Nigerian school, which will function as an "operationally-separate unit" of Southern Seminary.
