Since that time the church has progressed in membership and growth. The church is happy with its two newest groups. The Eoyal Rangers, which is an organization similar to the Boy Scouts, except it is sponsored by the church and therefore has much Christian emphasis. The other group is the Mission- ette group which is similar to the Girl Scouts. This group like the Royal Ranger group is church spoirsorefc. Both of these groups meet on Thursday evenings at 6:30 o clock. In addition to the two groups mentioned above, the church enjoys a Women's Missionary Council group, a Men's Fellowship group, a Christ Ambassador's (Young People) group and a children's church group. These last four groups meet on Sunday evenings at 6:30 o'clock. Immediately after these four groups have finished their services, they meet together to make a combined congregation for the Sunday Evening Evangelistic Service. _ At the present time some work is being done on the cliurch grounds, to change the, J&nijsqaping and ajso to the churph property nipre easily Accessible, The church has enjoyed iipcjajing the Sunday School by furnishing the Sunday School rooms with furnishings to fit this age group in the room. The church will celebrate it's 8th anniversary in November of this year. The present pastpr, J^mes Rputh, anc( his family cama to Blythevilie to accept the pastorate of Glad Tidings in Aug* ust of 1064- In addition to being pastpr of Glsd Tidings, Pastpi? Ruth is ajsp presbyter for Section Four (Northeast Arka.nsa.s); of the Arkansas District Council of the Assemblies of God. Section Four has 27 churches. Glad Tiding's Sunday Spliool Superintendent is Leo Hodge. The deacon board consists of five demons: Chas. Giles, Richard Larue, Ephriam Ward, Lamar Watson and Raymond Wilson. The pastor, the Sunday School superintendent, and tha deacon board of Glad Tidings gives an invitation and warm welcome to all who will eoine a^nd worship with us.
