The Ernest Bieria and the L. A. Sibles spent a few days seeing Texas. Miss Elizabeth Cliett visited Mr. and Mrs.

Roland Cliett Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Thompson and sons of Ft. Worth are visiting his parents and other relatives.

Mrs. N. O. Gray of Beaumont is visiting her sons, James and William Gray, and family. Mr.

Gray works with Swede Anderson at the Magnolia Station. Kathryn Ann Hendry went home with the B. E. Daye's at Freer. The Arthur Millers are home enjoying the warm weather after wearing jackets and sleeping under blankets in Mexico City.

Mrs. John Iiarson left Saturday to see her parents who live near Wichita Falls. Mrs. T. J.

Heinemeier left Wednesday for Thorndale where she was joined by her daughters, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Theis for a trip to San Antonio and New Braunfels. They returned home Sunday. Carol Romack, Ann Wilkinson, Faye Joy Redus, Inez Franz and Carolyn Schlipf spent Monday in Houston and saw the picture, "Father of the Bride." Mrs.

L. C. Riggs and Zella Lynn, of San Antonio spent last week with her dad, Bob Whitson and other relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs.

Melt Beckendorff and Mrs. V. A. Eden are visiting Mr. and Mrs.

Charlie Beckendorff in Mathis, Texas. Mrs. Charlie Beckendorff is recovering from an operation. Dwayne Eden is spending his vacation with Mr. and Mrs.

Clyde Lusk and at the M. A. Beckendorff home. Mrs. P.

L. Hoyt gave a chicken dinner Thursday night, June 29 in honor of her grandson Perry Melendy's seventh birthday. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Selwyn Bacon and two sons.

Monday night Lex Shinn and family of Shreveport treated the group of 27 with a fish fry at the Stockdick picnic grounds. Steaks were cut from a 69 Ib. lemon fish. At noon on the 4th the group had a picnic dinner at the same site. Members of the family present included Grandma Shinn, Mrs.

Mr. and Mrs. Jon Hughes and Gail spent their vacation in Galveston and Brookshire. Mr. and Mrs.

George Longenbaugh entertained the Ben Beckendorff families, July 4th, with a barbecue. Joe Dan Hightower of Harlingen and Marvin Lewie Roberts of Bellaire visited their aunt, Mrs. Wade Sorsby last week. Mr. and Mrs.

M. E. Hestilow spent the week-end in Leakey at the L-5 Ranch, returning Monday afternoon, visiting the George Longenbaugh's on their way home. Pattison will have a new residence. Doifglas Whatley- is building a new home across the road from the Johnny tfctums.

Sidney Martin and Jon Hughes were showing proof of a good catch Monday, one bass weighed pounds. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ritchey and Neal motored to Palestine Saturday taking Sedoin Ritchey, son of Judge and Mrs. W.

T. Ritchey, by his home in Cold Springs. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Schwartz spent the 4th of July in Oklahoma with relatives.
