Passenger Train Time Changes Made by Rock Island Passenger train changes on the Rock Island lines to become effective Sunday were announced Thursday by F. F. Carroll, general agent for the lines here. The southbound passenger, No. 17 will leave Mason City at 4:15 a. m. instead of 3:45 a. m. It will arrive in DCS Moines at 7:25 a. m. and at Kansas City at 2:35 p. m. There will be no change in the northbound passenger. On the Manly - Nora Springs route, passenger No. 64 will leave Manly at 4:10 a. m. instead of 4 p. m. as now. It will reach Nora Springs at 4.33 a. in. and arrive at Cedar Rapids at 8 a. m. and at Burlington at 11:40 a. m. The returning northbound No. 63 will arrive at Nora Springs at 9:58 a. m. and at Marly at 10:20 a. m. The defense has used 31 days up to Thursday to present 397 exhibits and the testimony of Twelve men were named in the indictment returned by a New York federal grand jury on July 20, 1948, after more than a year of investigation. But Foster was granted a severance when court appointed doctors confirmed that he could not stand trial because of a heart condition. Each of the defendants faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and $10,000 fine.
