Architects are now working on the final working plans and they expect to- take bids for construction as soon as these are completed. Construction is expected to begin by the first of the year, and completion in the summer. The congregation also authorized the building committee to proceed on their own judgment in planning the construction of a new parsonage on the same piece of property. In this part of the building there will also be two offices, a private study for the pastor, and the other a workroom for secretarial duties. Educational wing will include the kitchen and rest room areas and a large multi-purpose room that will double in service as classrooms and social hall. It will contain movable partitions which will enable the area to be divided for five individual class ooms. In addition to these clasrooms, tire balcony of the church, the overflow room, the cry room, a portion of the sanctuary of the church, and one of the office areas will also be used for Sunday School classrooms so, there will be as many as ten individual classrooms in the building. The building has been designed that either an educational wing or the sanctuary wing can be added on to in the future with no remodeling necessary. The church willbe located on nearly three acres of land which will past 10 months the congregation hag given three convincing votes on the whole expansion program. 0. G. Kensinger, chairman of the congregation, said "The re- siponse of our people has been overwhelming in all aspects of this program. We know that with the demonstrated unity of our congregation that the program of expansion which we have undertaken will be completed as a tesitmony to the faith of the members of our congregation and will make it possible for St. James Congregation to be of greater service to Garden City."
