Mrs. Martha Boyken attended the wedding of her grandson, Karl Boyken, and Cheryl Lynn Miller held at the Bethel Baptist Church at Denver, Colo, on June 1. Mrs. Boyken went on to Bel Aire, Tex. to visit for a time in the home of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. David Ryder. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sawyer of Richmond, Va. arrived Sunday to spend a week visiting in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Cosgrove. Guests Sunday evening in the home of Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Cosgrove in honor of Dick's birthday were Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Kitzinger and Nathan, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Krantz, Mrs. Fern Kitzinger, Mr. and Mrs. Dverg Krantr and Darrin, Mr. and Mrs. Noel Krantz, Corey and Collin, and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sawyer of Richmond, Va. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Ricks, Kevin and Brad, were Saturday supper guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. H.B. Seely at Algona. Conna Hoover has just completed a 6-week course in women's swimming instruction at Fairmont, Minn, and received her W.S.I, certificate. Mr. and Mrs. Menno Fuls and Mrs. Julia Stecker were Wednesday afternoon visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Redenius at Britt. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gingrich took Joyce Gingrich back to Mankato, Minn, on Monday where she started 5 weeks of summer school at Mankato State College. They visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Jackowell, Nathan and Susan, and also in the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Rod Isebrand and son at Garden City, Minn, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Meliza at Blue Earth, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Austin of Crystal Lake were Tuesday afternoon visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Callies. Carl Ludwig,entered Mercy Hospital in Mason City on Sunday. Scott and Carla Lust of Anchorage, Alaska arrived here Monday evening and were met at the Minneapolis airport by their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Callies. They will visit for a month at the William Amesbury farm and the Callies cottage in Minnesota. Billy and Bobby McCloskey of St. Paul, Minn, stayed with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Enko Smidt, the past week while their parents were attending a convention in Boston, Mass. Billy also attended Bible School at Ramsey Reformed Church. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Steenhard of Elmore, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Bert Siehlmann and family of Forest City, and Mr. and Mrs. Darvin Bowers and family were visitors in the Ben Siehl- mann home Sunday afternoon.
