Student Council Sponsors Youth March By Patti Sundrup The Youth March for the New Hope Village will be held Sunday, May 2, at 2:00 p.m. Approximately 200 Kuemper students are involved and will be marching on the three-mile nature trail around Swan Lake State Park. • President Dave Donovan, along with the rest of. the Student Council, will be supervising the entire program. Each marcher is asked to get three sponsors arid are asking pledges of a dollar a mile. The New Hope Village is planned to be a home-like residential environment for handicapped persons. The entire New'Hdpe Village project is trying to raise 3.4 million dollars over the next 5 years. The more money pledged to walkers, the more-helpful the march will be. The track teams, members of the KSMC, and members of the Key Club are the main organizations participating from Kuemper. All walkers will be insured from noon to. 8 ; 00' p.m. and will be super vised by adults. The program should be over at approximatley. 7:00 p.m. and participants may be pjcked up at this time. "We're pleased that so many students are willing to donate their time to help out other people like this," commented Student Council President Dave Donovan.
