Reuben Jones, 2600 W'estwood after a long illness. Mrs. LasMter was the daughter of Charles Fisher and Abigail Jones ilMsner. She spent most of her lift in Gallatin. Her husband, Robert H.

Lassiter. died In 1933. She was a member of the Galla tin Methodist church, the Wromen's Society of Christ inn, Service, and the Garden club. Besides Mrs. Jones, she is survived by another daughter, Miss Augusta Lassiter of Gallatin; a son, King Lassiter of Bethpage, Tenn, and six grandchildren.

ville resident who died in Middle- ton, Tuesday night, will be held today at 11 a.m. Services will be conducted at the Middleton Baptist church. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery there. Dr. Claypool, who lived In Nashville from the time he retired from medical practice in 1042 until 19 18.

died of a heart attack in the old family home near Middleton where ho was born. Ho attended Peewee Valley academy before enrolling at Vanderbilt. After graduating from medical school in 18S9, he practiced medicine in Bowling Green, for eight years. After that he returned to Simpson county to finish out his career. Dr.

Claypool was a member of the Kentucky house of representa tives from 1910 until 1912. He-was a leader In the Baptist church and a member of various Masonic orders. He was a Rotarian. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Boyd and Mrs.

John O. Street both bf Franklin, and Miss Mary Doyne Claypool of Nashville; two sons, John Rowan Claypool Jr. and William Woodford Claypool. both of Nashville; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Joe Corbitt Joe Corbitt, 75, native of Nashville, died of a heart attack yesterday morning in St.

Ijouis, where he had lived the past 35 years. Funeral services and burial will take place tomorrow morning in St. Louis. Mr. Corbitt was the brother of Mrs.

E. W. Argo of 2000 Eighth Nashville. He was educated in Buena Vista school hero and was employed by the Nashville Trunk Co. before mov ing to St.

Louis. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Besides his sifter, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Claia Corbitt; a daughter, Mrs. Dun Robertson of St.

Louis; two grandchildren; and another sister, Mrs. L. A. Hartwig of Houston. Mrs.

Eugenia Greer Funeral services for Mrs. Eugenia Greer, 88, lifelong Davidson county resident who died Tuesday at noon, will be held today at 1 p.m. R. B. Polk will conduct the services at the home of Mrs.

Greer's daughter, Mrs. Sam Norvnl, 4-34 Moore ave. Burial will be in Spring Hill cemetery. After a long illness, Mrs, Greer died at the home of another daughter, Mrs, R. B.

Ray of Joelton. Her husband, W. A. Greer, died 31 years ago. She was a members of the Seventh Baptist church.

Besides her she is survived by nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, three great- great grandchildren; a susler, Mrs. Mrs. Josie Bolton Smith Mrs. Josie Bolton Smith, widow of John F. Smith, died in St.

Thomas hospital at noon yesterday after an illness of three weeks. Requiem mass will be sung at 9 a.m., Saturday at the Cathedral of tho Incarnation, of which she was a communicant. Burial will bo in Calvary cemetery. Native of Tracy City, where she was reared and educated. Mrs.

Smith moved to Nashville 30 years ago. She was a daughter of William H. and Julia Mulloy Bolton. Her husband, a Nashville con tractor, died 23 years ago. Mia.

The Rev. John T. Allison will officiate, and burial will be in Woodlawn memorial park. Native of Bellevue, Mr. Forehand had spent all of his life in Davidson county.

He had been a blacksmith all his life until he retired last June. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. M. A. Winningham; two sons, Philip Forehand and Walter W.

J. P. Rogers Ex-Grocer, Dies Funeral services for J. Porter grocer who died yesterday morning will.be held today at 2 p.m. The Pev.

Tjintrin will mn. duct the services at the John ('J Roesch Funeral home, and burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery. Mr. Rogers died at 8:45 a.m. in St.

Thomas hospital after a long Illness. Native of White county, where he was reared and educated, he was the son of John and Mary Bledsoe Rogers. He entered the wholesale grocery business here when a young man as a city salesman for the Orr Jackson Co. He went into the retail grocery business for himself later and was one of the organizers of the Quality Service stores chain. He retired because of ill health 20 years ago.

Mr. Rogers lived on Harding road in the Pasquo community. He was a member of the Metho dist church. He is survived by his widow, the former Miss Daisy A. Hewitt, native 'of Nashville; two daughters, A.

B. Eastin of Nashville, and Mrs. W. H. Temple of Franklin two sons, Hewitt Rogers and J.

P. Rogers both of Nashville; and seven grandchildren Dr. J. E. Skinner Dies in Murray Dr.

J. E. Skinner, former pastor or ockeland Baptist church and Judson Memorial Baptist church here, died at his home in Murray at 9:30 p.m. yesterday at the age of 82. ur.

SKinner, member of a prom inent Baptist family, was the fath er of J. Ctlenn Skinner, secretary of the Nashville park board. He had been in failing health for the past year. Funeral arrangements were incomplete last night. Dr.

Skinner was pastor of the two Nashville churches over a pe riod of seven or eight years about 35 years ago. He had also held pastorates at Martin and Jackson, and Tampa, Fla, His last pastorate was at Murray, and he remained there after his retirement 10 years ago. A native of Murray, Dr. Skinner was a son of the late Joseph and Sarah Skinner. He was educated in Murray public schools and at Union university in Jackson, where he later held a position as a mem ber of the faculty.

Besides his son here, he leaves three other sons, the Rev. W. C. Skinner, pastor of Second Baptist church at Clarksville, Dr. R.

T. Skinner, editor of the "Western Recorder" at Louisville and former pastor at Bowling Green, and the Rev. E. M. Skinner, pastor of Central Baptist church in Phoenix, three daughters, Mrs.

Lynn Claybrook, wife of the pastor of the Oneida, Baptist church, and Miss Onnio Skinner and Miss Marie Skinner, both of Murray; a brother, the Rev. C. L. Skinner, pastor of Theo Baptist church in San Antonio, Texas; 20 grandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren. Robertson Man Dies From Inhaling Steam Marion Thomas Aldridge, 4l).

brother of Mrs. Eble Hunter of 1603 Sixth died in Robertson county hospital at Springfield yesterday noon after acci dentally inhaling steam from a tobacco steamer. Mrs. Hunter said Aldridge was operating a home-made steamer on the Robertson county farm on which he was employed when a pipe became stopped up, In an cf fort to unplug it, ho sucked steam into his lungs, burning him In ternally. A native of Portland, Mr.

Aldridge was a sen of the late George A. and Mary Ray Aldridge Ho was educated in Portland pub lie schools, and had lived in and near Portland most of his life. Besides his sister, Mr. Aldridge leaves three daughters, Wilma Aldridge, Ann Aldridge and Joyce Aldridge, all of Fountain Head, a son, Jackie Aldridge of Indianapolis, another sister, Mrs. Hattie Shepard of South Tunnel.

and three brothers, Corlas Lee Aldridge of Nashville and Ernest Aldridge and Johnny Aldridge of Indianapolis. Fireman's Widow Dies At Daughter's Home Mrs. Nell Rozetta Ryman, 64, daughter of a former Nashville fire chief and widow of a fireman, died Inst nicht at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. D.

armor 3910 Wayland ave. Funeral arrangements were incomplete last night. Mrs. Rvman was born In David son county, and had lived here all her life. She was the daughter of Molly and Tony Rosetta, who was fire chief of Nashville from 1900 until his death in 1920.

Her husband. Louis R. Ryman, died in 1942 of injuries received while on duty with the fire department. Her first husband, Charles E. Rcld, died in 1922.

In addition to Mrs. Farmer she is survived bv another daughter, Mrs. J. D. Dorris of Nashville, and .1.

She had heen in failing health for the past year, and had heen seriously ill for the past three weeks. funeral arrangements were in complete last night. A native of Nashville, Mi. Hays was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.

R. L. Hudson. She was educated at St. Cecelia academy, but had spent most of her life in Chattanooga.

She was the wife of T. Cobb Hays, retired Chattanooga attorney, who survives. Besides her husband and daugh ter, ahe leaves two sisters, Mrs, J. L. Bisbrin of Daytona Beach, and Mrs.

Stanley Kimball of Phoenix, four brothers, Reu ben L. Hudson and Leonard L. Hudson, both of Chattanooga, Jack Hudson of California and Cecil Hudson of New Orleans; and a grandson. James B. Cole Funeral services for James B.
