Long known as the nation's biggest event in terms of total entry, the show terminated its ties with the old International Amphitheatre at the conclusion of this show. The Lexington show, which includes an obedience trial, will be held at the Keeneland Race Course. All pure-bred dogs over six months of age who have been registered with the American Kennel Club are eligible. Closing date is at By SUSAN JEFFRIES Courier-Journal A Timt Correspondent In April, 1970, in his first time shown as a champion, a young, unknown Lexington dog claimed his first best in show victory at the Great Lakes English Springer Spaniel Breeders Association specialty in Chicago. On April 2, 1971, that dog, still young but no longer unknown, returned to the Springer specialty to win his 27th best in show win in the space of one year.

For Ch. Chinoe's Adamant James (better known as it has been an exciting year, especially the past six months in which he has been "living it up" nearly every weekend with shows in the middle-west, southern and eastern sections of the country. For the Springer's own, Dr. Milton E. Prickett, it has been an incredible year filled with joy.

The climax had to be conquering dogdom's elite at the Westminster show in New York although Dr. Prickett contends the "hometown" Louisville show triumph in February was just as thrilling. With the tremendous potential he possesses, the Springer now stands at the threshhold of becoming one of America's greatest dogs.
