Last week's sows market: we sold 250 packing sows and slaughter boars on a very active market. Sows at $45 a 100 disregarding any weight range. If you will check last Thursday's terminal top of $42 can afford not to send your sows to Carroll Livestock Sales? Slaughter boars last week sold from $36 to $37. CATTLE: 1 Purebred Whiteface bull — 4 years old. We will have some good green native cattle. We are coming off a Special Monday evening sale selling over 1800 cattle on one of the largest sales we have ever had. We would like to thank the buyers and consignors for their support. We had consignors from 70 miles around and buyers from all over the state. The steer top in calves was $49, top on heifers was $44. Bulk of the steer calves $45 to $47, bulk of heifer calves from $37 to $39. Yearling steers topped at $45.20 and yearling heifers at $41.50. Bulk of the yearling steers selling from $33 to $34, bulk of the yearling heifers from $38 to $39. Holsteins to $34.50. The cow market top — $34 and thin shelly cows at $28 to $30.
