The attendants were Mr. Gregory L. Boeck and Mr. Scott S. Seibert, Lexington; Mr. David Thompson, Georgetown; and Mr. Joseph W. Preston, the bride's brother. Mattingly Messenger St. Pius X Church was the scene yesterday at 11 a.m. of the marriage of Miss Susan Jean Mattingly, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Raphael Mattingly, and Mr. Leonard Alfred Messenger Jr., son of Mrs. Carl Tandy of Louisville and Mr. Leonard Alfred Messenger of Bowie, Md. Miss Rita Ann Beck was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Sue Ellen Mattingly, Memphis, the bride's cousin; and Miss Ann Handrahan. The bridegroom's father was best man. The ushers were Mr. George Michael Mattingly and Mr. David James Mattingly, the bride's brothers. After a wedding trip to Hot Springs, Ark., Mr. and Mrs. Messenger will live in Bladensburg, Md. Bridesmaids were Charla Aspley Aspley Thomas Mr. and Mrs. Robert Charles Aspley of Bowling Green announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Charla Moore Aspley, to Mr. Richard Potter Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard M. Thomas of Bowling Green. Miss Aspley is a graduate of Western Kentucky University where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She is a former member of the Bowling Green Girls Cotillion Club. Mr. Thomas, a graduate of Western, attended the University of Louisville School of Law. He is stationed with the Army at Ft. Gordon, Ga. Angela Alexander Alexander Townsend Mrs. Thedders Alexander of Bowling Green announces the engagement of her daughter, Miss Angela Lewis Alexander, to Mr. Wendell T.
