THE TITONKA TOPIC, TTTONKA, IOWA, JANUARY », 1W5 Cheryl Hanson Named Betty Crocker Winner Cheryl Hanson has been named Titonka Consolidated School's 1974-7i Betty Crocker Family Leader of Tomorrow. Cheryl won the honor by com-, peting with other seniors in \ ihe written knowledge and attitude examination on Dec. 3. She is now eligible for st»t« and national honors and will receive a specially designed award from General Mills, Inc.. sponsors of the annual educational scholarship program. She is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Herbert Hanson of Titonfc- a. State wir.ners receive a SI.500 college scholarship while state second place winners receive z grant of SoOO. I n the spring, state winners and their faculty advisors will be guests of General Mills on an expense-paid educational tour which will include Washington, D.C.. and Wllliamsburg, Va. A special event of the tour is the announcement of the All-American Family Leader of Tomorrow, whose scholarship will be incraesed to $5,000. Second, third and fourth place winners will receive scholarship incre.ises to S4.000. $3.000 and $2.000 respectively. TCRA MEETING AT WODEN, THURSDAY Thee Tri-County Recreation Association will hold a public meeting at the Woden Legion [Hall on Thursday, January 23 starting at 7:30 pjn. They have some pictures, an architect's conception of a clubhouse, and a proposed layout of, a golf course..
