Mr. and Mrs. Vern Rafdal attended Baptismal Services for their grandson,. Lance Patrick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Rafdal, held at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Ames on Sunday. The sponsors were Ken Wiese and Daryl Wiese of Jewell. They all enjoyed dinner out at the Fjord in Huxley following the service. October 8 supper guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Graham were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Runkle, Lori and Louise and Mr. and Mrs. John Miller of Humboldt, Mr. and Mrs. Art Graham and boys of Thompson, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jennings. The occasion was in honor of Mrs. D. Graham's birthday. Her guests on October 7 for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jennings and Mrs. Lillian Graham. A group of Methodist young people and chaperones enjoyed Tuesday and Wednesday at Westmar College in LeMars. Valerie Follman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LaVerl Follman, had a tonsilectomy at Memorial Hospital in Britt on Friday. Sunday evening visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Noel Krantz, in honor of Corey's and sons of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Kroetzer of North Mankato, Minn, were Monday luncheon guests in the home' of Mrs. Mary Oesterreicher.
