D. Allen Mr. and Mrs. James C. Owen of Anniston announce the engagement and approaching marriage of her daughter, Judy Rebecca Bryant, to John 1 David Allen, son Mr.

and Mrs. Carl J. Allen, also of this city. Miss Bryant and Mr. Allen are both 1965 graduates of Anniston High School.

The brideelect is presently employed at Anniston Army Depot, and Mr. Allen is an employe of Sears, Roebuck and Company. The wedding will be an event of Saturday, October 22, at 7:30 in the evening at Northside Baptist Church. 2 Hostesses Entertain Study Club Mrs. Arthur E.

Buckner and Mrs. Robert Bruce were hostesses for a business meeting of the Paragon Study Club on Wednesday morning at the home of Mrs. Buckner on Rocky Hollow Road. Arrangements of colorful autumn flowers decorated the living room and dining room, and dainty refreshments were ed upon the arrival of the members. Mrs.

Gardner A. Box presided over the meeting, at which time members accepted a budget for the year presented by Mrs. Buckner. Attractive year books were distributed by Mrs. William M.

Battle. Routine reports and plans for the coming year were presentled by chairmen of the various committees. Mrs. L. M.

The Rev. Gordon McKinney reading the marriage vows. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs.

Matlock D. Hays and Mr. and Mrs. Wilburn E. Cunningham, all of Centre.

A musical program was presented by Miss Lorraine Webb, pianist, and Miss Mouzon Webb, soloist, who sang "Because" and as the couple was kneeling, "The Lord's SO Prayer." An arrangement of yellowbronze pom poms were on the buffet and around the candelabra, and Bill Hays, brother of the bride, lighted the candles. Father Gives Bride Away Miss Gay Cunningham, sister of the bridegroom, was honor. She wore a full length, green and beige dress with green velvet for the empire waist and a long silhouette beige skirt with a petite French bow. Her headpiece was a green velvet bandeau with a nosetip veil in a matching color. She carried a bouquet of yellow and beige pom-poms.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was lovely in her candlelight wedding gown of silk organza and Alencon lace over taffeta. The gown was fashioned with an empire bodice with petitite sleeves, and a rounded neckline and waistline accented with pearlized lace. The silhouette skirt of veiled organza was accented with split hemlines at the sides etched with lace and tiny bows. A full detachable chapel train, accented by lace motifs, fell from a French bow at the renter back. Her fingertip veil of tiered English illusion was to a scalloped cap of lace and seed pearls.

She carried a white Bible topped with a white orchid and lace showered with streamers with tiny pom poms in the love knots. Her only jewelry was her mother's pearl necklace. Brother Is Best Man Jerry Cunningham served his brother as best man. Mrs. Hays chose for her daughter's wedding a beige lace dress with matching accessories.

Her corsage was of gold-brown carnations. Mrs. Cunningham, mother of the bridegroom, chose a two-piece gray suit and matching accessories. Her corsage was of carnations of contrasting color. A reception was held after the wedding, and the bride's Lorsister-in-laws, Mrs.

Mrs. Alsobrook chose for her daughter's wedding a sheath of beige Chantilly lace and crepe, and Mrs. Bibb, mother of the bridegroom, wore a two-piece suit of moss green Chantilly lace. Both wore yellow orchids.

Immediately following ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Alsobrook entertained with a recep tion in the auditorium of the Alabama Power Company. Those assisting in entertaining during the evening were Mrs. Kenneth A.
