Th« Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, met in regular •esslon pursuant to adjournment. There were present Supervisor Henry Hltz- husen, Chairman in the Chair, and Supervisors R. D. Bobbins and Joe Fritz. Absent: None. The Board approved the appointment •nd bond of Newel! Edward Deutscher as Deputy Sheriff without compensation. Resolution Whereas, Russell K. Abel !s indebted to Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, for personal taxes assessed in Mason City Corporation for the years 1936 and 1937 in the aggregate sum of $26.78 including penalties and interest, and Whereas, the said personal taxes are not a Hen against any real estate, nnd Whereas, Russell K. Abel has made an offer of $20.14 for the full and complete settlement oE the said taxes, penalties and interest. Now Therefore be It resolved by the Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, that the sum of $20.14 be __ _. accepted as full and complete settlement as to of said taxes, penalties and interest. dale. The Board approved the bond and application of The Ritz, Dean W. The Board levied additional assessment against the lands and highways in Drainage District No. 37. Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, in the aggregate sum of 243.75, which sum represents 25'.'e of he original assessment. Resolution Whereas the County Engineer has reported to the Board of Supervisors that he Clermont Brick and Sand Company las completed the work covered by the contract dated May 16. 1949, for the 1949 naintenance surfacing of secondary roads, which work has been completed according to the plans and specifications. Now therefore, be it resolved by the Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, that the said project be accepted ns completed and the County Sngineer and the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors are hereby authorized to ssue a certificate of the completion o£ the said work and the acceptance by the said Board of Supervisors. Resolution Whereas the County Engineer has reported to the Board o£ Supervisors that the Dee Brothers Construction Company, New Hampton, Iowa, has completed the work covered by the contract dated February 21 1949, for construction o£ 32' x 20' bridge No. N-19-C-6, which work has been completed according to the plans and specifications. .....
