The ceremonies included the initiation of a new group of girls to be known as Oda Ko. The initiates included Ellen Halsted, Nancy Wright, Jane Hoopman, Shirley Hudson, Sharon Lybbert, Kathryn Finholt, Jo Ann Schacht, Joan Aegler,'Frances Fye, and Marilyn Klatt. The theme of the program consisted of the 7 crafts. They include home, sports and games, creative arts, outdoors, frontiers, business and citizenship. Tawanka members received their bracelets emblematic of their rank as "firemakers." The girls included Jean Davies, Barbara Nichols, Delores Loughrey, Philamena Peclnovsky, Anna Marie Billmyer,, Leatrice HaJsted, Mary Alice Mikesh and Flossie Wentworth. Mrs. L. G. Gitchell is the new leader-president. Other group leaders are Mrs. Roy Picking, Mrs. H. R. Schroeder, Mrs. R. F. Davies, and Mrs. James Pecinoysky.
