OUTSTANDING litlCflO STYLES WTH THAT "DIFFERENT" LOOK 30.00 to $600.00 lb Am mn (Dis la THE story of Jack Huff's trip up Mount LeConte with his dying mother is legendary in the Smokies. Was the improvised chair, in which Mrs. Huff sat, still in existence? Huff said he thought so. Search throughout his Mountain View hotel failed to reveal it.

Someone said he thought it was in the Gatlinburg museum. The museum, which was closed for the season, was opened for the Magazine. No chair. After combing the town, Huff located the chair at a home several miles away. Condition: good as the day it was used nearly 25 years ago.

Memories Recalled CHILDHOOD memories were recalled for Mrs. Otto Murphy, wife of the Robertson county sheriff, by Josephine Murphey's story, "The Widows' Night," in the May 24 Magazine, Mrs. Murphey has written. "Your article about 'Mr. Charlie's widows' was thoroughly enjoyable," Mrs.

Murphy said in a letter to Miss Murphey. "As I looked and read, my thoughts traveled backward many years for it was in Greenbrier I was reared. "As 1 scanned each pictured face, I'd remember, In those I recognized, some childhood happening. For instance, when I'd left the gate unlocked and our cow had spoiled Miss Gertie's lovely spring garden Greenbrier was my home for the first two years of my married life, also. "I'm so glad you gave Mr.

Charlie and Miss Bill such a wonderful build up, too, for if ever two people deserved praise, they do. They are the finest. "All in all, your story was great and round about-here has been the subject of much comment, all very good." A Paradise of Birds "ASA faithful reader of the Magazine A. (and a one-article writes Mrs. H.

G. Knauth of Brush Hill road, "I want to write just a paragraph in praise of the Dr. Henry bird paintings appearing currently. As an adopted Ten-nessean I have found this state a bird-lover's paradise indeed and think too much emphasis cannot be put on the beauty, the economic importance, and the wonderful opportunities for the nature-lover this wealth of bird life affords to the inhabitants of Tennessee. The paintings are full of character and true color, and the accompanying text is also excellent.

Thanks from a bird lover, and I for one hope you will continue from time to time to remind Tennesseans of their great good fortune in having such a variety of wonderful birds in their fields, forests and suburban lawn shrubs."
