Bearden suit accuses VA LITTLE ROCK (AP) - Andrew Bearden of Little Rock filed suit here Wednesday alleging that while he was an em- ploye at the Veterans Administration Hospital at North Little Rock he saw VA employes brutalize patients. Bearden, an unsuccessful candidate for the Republican gubernatorial nomination, said he had seen patients beaten. He also charged that VA officials discriminated against black VA employes. He asked $50,000 damages from local VA officials for alleging slandering him. Bearden also sought $50,000 from the VA employes union for failing to give him the protection it promised. In addition, Bearden asked $25,000 damages from the Veterans Administration for allegedly failing to investigate his charges. DON'T SIPHON GAS OTTAWA (AP) - Consumers' Association of Canada reports that motorists risk serious injury and possible death if they use their mouths to siphon gasoline from one car gas tank to another.
