Health Ball Memorial Hos-(CKMBfi ning, February 8, 2013 at Mor- mends in I nital 1 He was 1 Dorn in ivion-ticello, Ken-1 tucky on Au Berlin, Germany. Born in Berlin in 1931, to Willie and Ida Albrecht, she was raised and Woods of Muncie, IN. He was born October 3, 1920 in Farmland, IN, the son of H. Desmond and gust 19, 1935, the son ot Claude and and was the daughter or the late George and Edith (Bails) Guy.

Jewel was a graduate of Mooreland High School. She was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving with the Army Womens Corps. She loved being with her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling and bowled in the Thursday morning league at the Rose Bowl and the former New Castle Lanes.

Jewel had won several awards and trophies for her bowling. She loved African Violets and Orchids. Photography was also something she enjoyed and her photos had won awards at the Mooreland Free Fair. Jewel also loved to travel with her late husband, Bobbie Troy. She is survived by one daughter, Lisa Troy (husband, Paul) Edenfield of New Castle; one son, Ke vin (wife, Karen) Troy of Springport; six grandchildren, Tiffany Ward (fi ance, Shawn Hendrick) of Jack L.

White, 74 PORTLAND Jack L. White, 74, Portland, passed away Sunday evening, February 10, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born February 7, 1939 in Dunkirk, the son of Paul F. and Margaret E. (Myers) White.

He was married December 13, 1958 to Patricia Shawver who survives. He was an agent for Independent Order of Forresters and also worked for Anchor Hocking Glass for twenty years. He farmed and enjoyed golfing, was a member of Portland Eagles Lodge, V.F.W. in Fort Recovery and Sons of American Legion. Surviving are his wife, Patricia; two sons, Matthew White, of Portland and Michael White, of Bryant; one daughter, Mrs.

Ron (Sherry) Anderson, of Albany; one brother, Gary White of Portland; two sisters, Karen Johnson, of Portland and Bonnie Baumgartner, of Decatur; three grandchildren He was preceded in death by a son, Tony. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Dar-rell Borders presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m.

Saturday at the funeral home. Jimmie C. Stewart, 67 ANDERSON Jimmie C. Stewart, 67, of Anderson, died Sunday, February 10, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following an extended illness.

He was a 1938 graduate of Stoney Creek High School. Howard, a life-long farmer of Randolph County, enjoyed watching basketball, playing horseshoes and ping pong, and working crossword puzzles.

He attended Bible Baptist Church of Parker City. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of seventy-two years, Dora (Ad-dington) Thornburg; two sons, Lew E. Thornburg (wife, Becky) of Parker City, IN and Neil Thornburg (wife, Zodi) of Farmland, IN; two daughters, Luetta S. Campbell (husband, Garry) of Muncie, IN and Donna Christopher (husband, Randy) of Selma, IN; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Vera Thornburg; two great-grandchildren, Becca Thornburg and Aiden Campbell; a sister, Edith Freeman; and twin infant siblings.

A service to celebrate Howard's life will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery of Windsor, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the funeral home.

Copeland, 70, went home Sunday evening, February 10, 2013 at Parkview Nursing Green. He graduated from Muncie Central High School and served his country in The United States Air Force as a medic. Tooty worked for A.B.B., formerly Westinghouse from 1961 until his retirement in 1996. He was also a school bus driver with Bus for twenty six years and spent many years playing fast and slow pitch softball. Tooty enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Colonel Tim Green USMC (wife, Julie) of Phoenix, Arizona and Kelly Gillen-tine (husband, Jeff) of Muncie; his grandchildren, Tara Immen, Austin Gillentine, Dillon Green, Morgan Gillentine and Taylor Green; also surviving are several cousins and his extended family at Bruner's Family Restaurant. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Pastor Steve Graves officiating. Family and friends may call from 5:00 p.m.

until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the mortuary. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Conte, Dr. Navarrete and the critical care nurses at Ball Memorial Hospital for all of their care and support.

James Lyle Mort, 72 MUNCIE James Lyle Mort, 72, of Muncie, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at his home with his loving educated in Berlin. Lisa met the love of her life, Paul Coffey, while he was in the U.S. Army and stationed in Germany.

She moved to the United States and married Paul in 1959. Lisa and Paul were married for over fifty-three years. Survivors include husband Paul, of Yorktown, Indiana; sons, Detlev Albrecht (Anne) of Berlin, Germany, Andre Coffey (Julie) of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughter, Jacqueline Tolbert (David) of Yorktown, Indiana. Lisa loved and spoiled her granddaughters, Kiley Quinn (Dan), Kasey Tolbert (Bobby), Jennifer Coffey and great-granddaughter, Aubrey Coffey. She will also be dearly missed by several nieces, nephews, extended family members and family friends.

Lisa worked for many years as bookkeeper in the family business, A Machine Company of Indianapolis, Indiana. She helped guide the company from its inception in 1978 until she retired in 2012 and was an important part of its success. Lisa had a kind and generous spirit and touched many lives. She deeply loved her family and loved to spend time with them. She will be sadly missed by all.

Catherine Ann Ricketts, 78 MUNCIE Catherine Ann Ricketts, 78, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at Liberty Village following an ex-tended Ward (fiance, Mary Alice Bean) of New Castle, Kaitlyn Troy of Muncie, Kaleb Troy of Muncie and Cameron Troy of Vin-cennes, Indiana; two great-grandchildren, Khloe Wilson of New Castle and D.J. VanMatre of Alexandria; three sisters and three brothers, George (wife, Bonnie) Guy of Pendleton, Wanda (husband, Mike) Kerschner of Anderson, Sherry (husband, Clay) Jones of Sulphur Springs, Ed Guy of New Castle, Peggy Vore of Yorktown and John (wife, Chinanti) of New Castle and a special sister-in-law, Joan Hesler of Kansas; several aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-three years, Bobbie Troy, who passed away January 8, 2004.

Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the Main Davis Funeral Home, Astor Main Blue River Chapel located midway between Mooreland and Mt. Summit on US Highway 36. Funeral services will be private.

Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 137 and the V.F.W. Post 1282 at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Barrett Cancer Center of Cincinnati. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Catherine was born in Crooked' Creek-- ing a courageous battle with cancer. James was born August 10, 1940 in El-wood Indiana to the late County, Illinois on December 5, 1934, the daughter of Jesse and Alma Mae (Duvall) Ricketts, and was a graduate of Eaton High worked for a cook for Schools and School in 1951. Ms. Ricketts many years as Muncie Public Camp Croslev. bhe was a member of the Knights of Co AREA ROUNDUP Farmer Coffee Hour planned Thursday WINCHESTER The Purdue Extension-Randolph County Office will be hosting the 2013 Farmer Coffee Hour Program on Thursday.

The topic will be Crop Insurance Update by Jeff Oswalt, East Central Ag Crop Insurance and Randolph County Extension board member. This program will begin at 8 a.m. at Randolph County Fairgrounds. Breakfast will be sponsored by First Merchants Bank. Pre-registration is requested by calling the Randolph County Extension Office at (765) 584-2271.

This program is free and open to the public. She graduated from Muncie Central high School and attended Ball State University. Barbara enjoyed drawing, singing, nature, painting, and animals especially cats. Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer Brooks (husband, Scott), Muncie and Lisa Campbell, Anderson; a granddaughter, Hannah Stookey; her special aunt, Mary Swanger, Muncie; and special friends, Kim Luttrell and Lo-retta Stahl. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Parkview Nursing Center, especially, Angie, Paul, Anita, Brittany, Ian, Riley, Melissa, Patricia, and Karaoke Master Tim. James retired in 1988 from Indiana Gas Company. He was member of the Eagles 231, Moose 33, American Legion Post 19, and The Harleys Owners Group of Muncie.

James was an avid motor cycle rider, and a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He served is the U.S. Army. James is survived by his sons, Greg D. (Kristy) Mort, of Upland, IN, Robert M.

Mort of Seminole, FL; daughters, Tina (Bruce) Smith of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Erica (Chris) Crouch of Indianapolis, IN, Aaron Rose of Muncie, IN, Jacqui Rathel of Bedford, IN; several other grandchildren; a brother, Jack Mort of Muncie, and two nephews. On August 1, 1953 Alice Mae was married to the love her life William "Smokey" Landess. She was a homemaker and enjoyed making candy, crocheting, collecting penguins, and spending time with her family and friends. Alice Mae was a member of Main Street Christian Church, and Winchester Moose Lodge 1977.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Marta (Landess) Tice; one brother, Lloyd (wife, Rose) Ertel; one brother-in-law, Tom (wife, Zelma) Landess; five nieces, Michelle (husband, Todd) Lee, Grade Lee, Bobbie (husband, Tom) Byrum, Cheryl (husband, Bruce) Taylor, and Cindy (husband, Tony) Winkler; two nephews, Brian (wife, Lori) Ertel, and Todd Landess; special cousin, Kathie Za-haluk; special friend, Mary Etta Hoober; several great nieces and nephews, and her dog Cookie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Ernest and Vera Gladys Ertel; husband, William "Smokey" Landess; one grandson, Christopher Tice; two brothers, Ernie and Wesley Ertel; two nephews, David Ertel and Ernie Ertel and one niece, Teresa (Ertel) Mills. Wednesday at the funeral home. co-owner and operator, retiring in 1986 from Elzey-Dickey-Haggard Home For Funerals after thirty-four years. He was a WW II Army Veteran, a member of Waynedale United Methodist Church, Indiana Funeral Director Association, American Legion 296, D.A.V. 13, I.O.O.F. Harmony Lodge 19, Scottish Rite, Waynedale Masonic Lodge 739, Orchard Ridge Country Club, Mizpah Shrine, was the first President of the Allen County Funeral Director Association, and served as a director for Fort Wayne Savings and Loan.

He was an avid golfer and sports fan. He enjoyed traveling to many destinations; Las Vegas was one of his favorites along with wintering in Florida. Surviving are his wife, Edith Marie Dickey of Fort Wayne; daughters, Pamela Dickey of Fort Wayne and Karen (John) Lantz of Avilla; grandson, Eric (Monica) Dickey of Maryville, Missouri; brother, Bill (Carol) Dickey of Muncie; step daughter, Roxie (Gary) Zuercher of Geneva; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. Also preceding him in death was his first wife, Ollie Dickey in 1998; brothers, Rol-land Dickey, Adam Dickey, and Curney Dickey; and sisters, Pauline Rauh, Juanita Maxwell, and Delphine Dickey. A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m.

Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles and Don Ricketts; and a great-grandson, Landon Casperson. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Parson Mortuary with Rev. William Briggs officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
