Nettleton, age 74 of 660 West 21st died at a local hospital on September 4, 1949. The deceased was a native of Berks County, and was born January 27, 1875. LEMLEY Edney Ray Lemley, age 60, passed away Saturday, September 3, 1949 at his home in Cottage Grove. He was born December 29, 188 in Hundred, West Virginia. He came to Oregon with his parents at the age of 19 months. He was married in Eugene to Golda G. Jacobs, July 2, 1910.

They lived in Springfield, where Mr. Lemley was time keeper for the BoothKelly Lumber until 1918 when they went to North Bend where he was in charge of the shipping and planing departments for the Beaner Lumber Co. The family went to West Virginia in 1923 returning to Oregon and coming to Cottage Grove. Mr. Lemley was employed in various capacities including that of plant Superintendent Lumber for Co.

the until W. 1932 A. Woodard partnership with George Jacobson he built and, operated the Cottage Grove Lumber Co. He sold his interest in this venture and had been retired since 1939, except for 3 years spent as a lumber inspector for the U. S.

Navy during World War II. Mr. Lemley was very active in civic and fraternal affairs in Cottage Grove. He was master of Cottage Grove Lodge No. 51 A.
