and Mrs. Ben Armstrong, in Louisville. The bride's sisters, the Misses Lynne and Beth Armstrong, served as maid of honor and bridesmaid, respectively. They are both of Louisville. The bridegroom is the son of Mr.

and Mrs. William Taub of Miami, Fla. His best man was Mr. Thomas Davis of Nashville, Tenn. The couple will live in Greenville.

Pat Head, all of Louisville. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. John M. Purcell of Charlotte, N. and Mrs.

Purcell of Louisville. His best man was Mr. Dale Dunn of Charlotte. The ushers were Mr. John Michael, Mr.

Gowens--Miller Sylvia Lea Gowens and Frank David Miller of Louisville were married yesterday at 7:30 p.m. in Emmanuel Baptist Church, Jeffersonville, Ind. The bride is the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Ernest G.

Gowens of Jeffersonville. Her father officiated. She was is given in marriage by her brother, Mr. Ernest E. Gowens of Palmyra, Ind.

Serving as maid of honor was Miss Anne Hedge of Jeffersonville. Heilman were married Nov. 24, 1927, in Louisville. He's retired from American-Standard, and she's the former Helen M. Schmitt. The couple has three grandchildren.

An Indianapolis couple is celebrating 50 years of marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Carson T. Huff were married Dec.

4, 1927, in Moss, Tenn. Mr. Huff retired in 1975 from Indiana University, and Mrs. Huff, the former Annie Edna Laney, retired in 1974 from the Haag Drug Co. An open house will be held from 2 to 5 next Sunday afternoon at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr.
