Diesbach, living on South Fourth street, has complained to the police that the boys who play ball on Fourth etreet every evening have wrought considerable damage to her flowers. Kauerauf bays that the boya threw bis little boy down, sat oq him, and, putting their hate over his face, almost smothered the lad to death. Chief 8eip says the toys are too small to be arrested and the only thing he can do is to repiimand them and warn their parents to give them better training. Kauerauf says he has been all over the world, and even in Africa, but that West Atchison has some of the meet uncivil ized people he ever saw.

Campbell, living at 511 North Sixth etreet, complained to the police last evening that his little girl had been robbed by two colored girls while on her way to the meat market. She had a pocket book containing about $7. The colored girls ran after her and she fell, at the same time dropping the pocket book. The colored girls then grabbed the purse and ran. The thieves are known and will be arrested this morning.

TIME INCREASED. The Central Branch shops Forces Get Ten Hours More. Orders were received by Master Mechanic Weller at the Central Branch shops yesterday to increase the working time to ten hours more In the week. This will be glad news to the employes who have been laying oil two days out of the week, Wednesday and Saturday for some time. It is said that the new orders will apply to all the departments.
