Raymond F. Zininierer, 48, of 1821 Edgeland, died at 3:25 p.m. Thursday at General Hospital. He worked at Twinbrook Nursing Home and as a security officer for Pink-erton's, Inc. Formerly he was employed as a route salesman by Donaldson Bakeries, Inc.

He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He is survived by his widow, the former Billee Martin; three sons, Raymond, Stephen and Mike Zimmerer, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Zimmerer.

The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church, 1826 Eden-side. Burial will be in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery. The body will be at Arch L.

Heady Son Funeral Home, 1201 E. Oak, after 6 p.m. Friday. Joseph P. Holmes, 68, of 118 Mohawk, died at 10:30 a.m.

Thursday at his home. He was a cook at Methodist Evangelical Hospital for six years before he retired a year ago. Survivors include his widow, the former Georgia Bowling; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Louise Sensing and the Misses Cecilia Rose and Imelia Ann Holmes; two sons, Francis J. and Charles E.

Holmes, and seven grandchildren. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Monday at St. John Vianney Church, 4841 South-Side Drive. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The body will be at Ratter-man's, 2815 S. Fourth, after 2 p.m. Saturday. Alexander Cox, 75, of 2418 W. Chest nut, died Monday at General Hospital.

Wednesday at St. Anthony Hospital after being found in a freight elevator shaft at the Fred Franke Bedding Machine 900 Main. He was William Henry Thornton, 2033 Payne. Deputy Coroner Charles Proctor said an autopsy is being performed to deter-1 mine whether the man died from a fall or a stroke. Proctor said the man had a head cut that didn't appear severe.

Thornton was found in the shaft by a fellow employe about 8:30 a.m. J. E. Miller, the company manager, said Thornton is believed to have fallen about six feet from the first floor level while the 1 elevator was at the second floor. Miller said there was about a 15-inch gap under the gales at the first floor.

Survivors are four sons, William J. and Edward T. Thornton, both of Chicago, and Emil J. and Raymond C. Thornton; two daughters, Mrs.

Guy Fralick and Mrs. Milton Walker; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Frances of Rome Church, Clifton and Payne.
