DEATHS lllTHE COURIER-JOURNAL KY SUNDAY, JUNE 14, 2015lll 27A 59, of Louisville, passed away on June 11, 2015. Karen was born in Louisville on Augus 15, 1955, to John and LaVerne (Culver) Clark. Her father preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James Parrish; son, Chris Parrish (Trisha); mother, LaVerne Clark; sisters, Debb ie Cheser (David) and Kim Ernst (Bill); and three grandchildren, Owen, Sydney, and Logan Parrish. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, June 15, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy) with funeral ceremony beginning at 7:00 pm.

PIPER LUCY Lucy Mae Piper, born March 21, 1924 in Park City, KY passed away peacefully in he sleep on June 10, 2015 at Baptist Health in Louisville. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Piper and her parents, John Walter Hogan and Ollie Mae Miller.

She is survived by a sister, Gladys Amaral Farak and many nieces and nephews. Lucy spent most of her life in Louisville, where she celebrated more than fty years employment with General Electric. She mos enjoyed traveling north to visit her family and she had a talent in ceramics and she shared many of her ceramic treasures with family fo them to enjoy. Her patience in the garden resulted in her yard lled with colorful owers and plants. The family wishes to thank the many heath- care professionals at Westminster Terrace Health Care Centre that attended to needs for the past four years and made her always feel loved.

Also, to the Palliative Care Unit at Baptist Health of Louisville, a special thanks for your comfort and kindness at a very cult time. Born in Louisville, KY, to Beth Thomas and Cyrus Sugg Radford, Mr. Radford graduated in 1948 from St. James Episcopal School for Boys in Hagerstown, MD. After a two year stin in the Army, Cavalry Division, he attended Dartmouth College (class of and the University of Kentucky. He was the president of the Radford Company, Wholesale Liquor Distributing Company, as well as past president of National Distributing Company of Newport, KY.

Mr. Radford was the past president of the Kentucky Wholesale Liquor Association. He was a director of the Kentucky Kidney Foundation, and served on the board of Hospital Foundation as well as the board of Kentucky Home School for Girls (now KCD). Mr. Radford served as a past presiden and director of Harmony Landing Country Club and was a director of the Pendennis Club and the Louisville Country Club.

He served on the Board of Directors of Liberty National Ban (now Chase). He was a longtime member of St. Marks Episcopal Church, where he served as vestryman. He was a member and past presiden of the Juniper Club. Mr.

Radford was an avid hunter, sherman, and outdoorsman. Mr. Radford was preceded in death by his rst wife, Cornelia (Nina) Speed Radford and his two sisters, Betsy Radford Alexander and Carolyn Radford Glover. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Spears Cregor Radford; children, Connie Radford Butler (Robert), Beth Radford Welch (Edward), Ann Warneke Calahan (Don), Cyrus S. Radford III (Liz); grandchildren, Austin Nikolich (Alex), Robert Butler (Alexandra), Clark Welch, Harrison Welch, Beth Welch, Keller Radford, Ann Preston Radford, great grandsons Charles and Henry Nikolich; stepchildren, Robert Crego (Sally), Margaret Bell (James); step-grandchildren, Katherine Cregor, Shelby Cregor, Susannah Cregor, Anne Stuart Bell, Sarah Bell; brother-in-law, Gayle Alexander; and many devoted nieces and nephews.
