a SECTION 1 THE COURIER-JOURNAL, LOUISVILLE, FRIDAY MORNING, FEBRUARY 16, 1962 17 Deaths MRS. WILLIAM BOWMAN Mrs. William S. Bowman, a piano teacher and choir direetor 1 and 1 organist for the Virginia Avenue Methodist Church, died at 2 p.m. at St.

Anthony Hospital. She lived at 2112 Allston. Mrs. Bowman was the former Laura Mudd of Hardyville, Ky. Her husband died in 1920.

She had been a piano teacher 40 years and formerly taught at the old Louisville Conservatory of Music. She had been organist and choir director at the Virginia Avenue church the past 15 years. She was a member chapter Order BrishtasSar Star. She also was member of Parkland Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs.

R. T. McGinity; a son, the Rev. J. J.

Bowman, Lynchburg, a sister, Mrs. Alma Robertson, Canmer, and three grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Owen Funeral Home, 2611 Virginia. Burial will be- in Fairview Cemetery, Bowling Green, Ky.

JOHN J. LENIHAN The funeral for John J. Lenihan, brother of two former executives here, will be Saturday at Chicago. Lenihan, 64, a retired investment broker, died Wednesday at Chicago, where he lived. He was the brother of the late Bernard J.

and Frank P. Lenihan, former president and board chairman of Time Finance Company, Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Catherine C. Lenihan, Chicago, and a sister, Miss Eleanor M. Lenihan.

MAYO S. MASON Mayo Shalleross Mason, a retired farmer, died about 1 Thursday at' the home p.m. of a relative at Skylight. He was a native of Oldham County and a descendent of pioneer family there. Mason, a bachelor, lived at Goshen.

He was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church. Survivors are a sister, Miss Mary Mason, and four brothers, E. Willard Mason, LaGrange, Eugene F. Mason, Kansas City, Warren Mason, Goshen, and Wardell Mason, Carrollton. The will be at 2 p.m.
