KAUIS JTOUK THE TITUSVILLE HERALD. TITUSVILLE, PENNA. SATURDAY. DECEMBER 3, 1960 'Peter Pan' (Continued iron- Inside) sang in Cole Porter's "Leave It To Me," Mary Martin became a sensation overnight. She has been that, and more, ever since.

Hollywood immediately tapped her for 11 films, during which period she also made 24 recordings and did two years of radio broadcasting with Bing Crosby. But it has been on the musical stage that Miss Martin has realized her happiest triumphs, as she proved when she returned to the theatre in "One Touch Venus," a New York smash and a record-breaker on the road. Next, she received critics' bouquets as the wistful heroine of rhe Chinese fantasy, "Lute Song," still remembered as one of Broadway's most beautiful productions. Then she proved her unique versatility with a rollicking portrayal of that famous lady sharpshooter from the West, Annie Oakley, in "Annie, Get Your Gun," in which she again broke box office records during a national tour, under the banner of Rodgers and Hammerstein. The latter disproved Miss Martin's belief that she could not possibly have a bigger or better part than Annie by starring her as Nellie Forbush Jit, their immensely successful "South As the Navy nurse who "washed that man right outa my hair" eight performances weekly.

Mary not only captivated New York during a fabulous Broadway run, but later also won international acclaim by affording London many "enchanted evenings" in this musical. Returning to New York, she co-starred with Charles Boyer in "Kind Sir," her first non-musical part, scoring another great personal success. Thereafter, Miss Martin conquered television, via the "Ford 50th Anniversary Show," which also boasted Ethel Merman's ebullient presence: the TV toast to Rodgers and Kammerstein; Ed Murrow's Person to a duo-show with Noel Coward; and now, Mary's most heartfelt wish comes true for the third time: "Peter Pan," The producers have been able, despite obstacles, to reassemble most of Miss Martin's original "Peter Pan" company for the colorcast. Cyril Ritchard will star as Captain Hook; Margalo Gillmore will return as Mr. Darling.

Sondra Lee as Tiger Lily, Joe £. Marks as the pirate Smee, Peggy Maurer as the grown-up Wendy and Norman Shelley as dog Nana. Nine of the ten Indians will be returning as are most of the pirates. New casting will include Maureen Bailey as young Wendy. The roles of the Darling children, of the maid Lisa and Lost Boys will be filled by new original performers haying Jong since outgrown the roles.

Noreen is seen in the NBC-TV series (Thursdays, 9 p.m. NYT) as Kelly, niece of bachelor lawyer Bentley Gregg, played by John Forsythe.

With the Irish twinkle in her eyes, and an American girl's energy and sense of fun, Kelly or Bentley or the go to keep pace.
