Sixth, at 2:50 p.m. yesterday. Underwood, who lives at 515 Camp, was admitted to St. oseph Infirmary, where a hospital spokesman said it might be necessary to amputate a finger.

Clamp Is Removed He caught his hands in the elevator clamp as he was taking the elevator from the basement to the first floor. Underwood and William Finck, 25, another electrician, were doing some repair work at the store. Police and firemen were called to free Underwood's hands from the apparatus. The wire was severed above and below the clamp, and Underwood was taken to General Hospital with his hands still tangled in the cLamp and wire. Patrolmen Marvin Almon and George Helm removed the clamp from Underwood's hands at General Hospital.

He was given first aid and transferred to St. Joseph. Kentucky Schools Get More Lunch Supplies Frankfort, Jan. 17 (JP) The State Agriculture Department today announced additional supplies have been sent to Kentucky for school luncheons. Recent allotments include 2V2 carloads of honey, 6 carloads of concentrated orange juice, 8 carloads of pork shoulders, 4V2 carloads of grapefruit sections, and 106 carloads of apples.

The United States Department of Agriculture bought the honey and apples in its program of keeping prices up and the other foods were purchased especially for school-lunch aid.
