(LePore) Wilmington, DE; Mealey Funeral Home Detailed Obituary In Edition Jenny Anderson, age 65, of Wilmington, DE, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 25, 2015. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Jenny retired from GM after working 18 years on the production assembly line. She was an avid reader, especially romance novels and founded the Book Club. Jenny enjoyed country music, cooking, watching Steel Magnolias with her daughter, Angela, and was proud of her Cherokee Indian heritage. Her presence was always a comfort and she will be greatly missed. Jenny is survived by her daughter, Angela M.

Anderson (Michael); sister, Diane Watson; grandchildren: Nikki, Benedict, Shaelyn, and Lucas; great-grandchild, Julia; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Glenna Pennington; son, Steven L. Anderson; and brother, Ronald G. Pennington. Services and burial will be private.

Strano Feeley Family Funeral Home 302-731-5459 JENNY ANDERSON AGE: 65 WILMINGTON Judy Hall Bedford, age 76, of New Castle, DE, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Judy was born October 10, 1938 in Hackney, OH to Dane Hall and Lura Hall (Morris) Lawrence.

She graduated from Asbury University and University of Colorado-Boulder. Judy taught school in OH and DE. She was the operator of Christian Yellow Pages and spent many hours researching her family genealogy and history. Judy was a member and faithful supporter of Cornerstone Church. She also was an active member of the Delaware Genealogical Society and Howard Weston Senior Center.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband Russell Richard Bedford whom she married on July 19, 1969; 2 sons, Brian (Scotti) and Jeremy Bedford; 2 grandchildren, Maren June and Waylon Cecil Bedford; 2 sisters, Jenny Banner of SC and BJ Yates of OH; 1 niece; and 2 nephews. Strano Feeley Family Funeral Home 302-731-5459 JUDY HALL BEDFORD AGE: 76 NEW CASTLE Mary Frances Borem Haynes, age 81, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Kutz Home. Mary Frances was the only child of the late Estelle (Beaston) and George Mitchell Borem. She was raised and educated in Wilmington, where she graduated from P.S. duPont High School in 1951. Mary Frances worked for the Hercules Chemical Company and then for Sears Roebuck Co.

Mary Frances was a member of the Hanover Street Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir for many years, starting as a teenager in the late As a teen, she was also a member of the Hanover basketball team which played in the church league. Mary Frances was very active in the Business and Professional Foundation, and served as an cer of the organization. She loved to dance and danced in several ballroom competitions. She was also an avid photographer and enjoyed taking pictures while traveling. Mary is survived by many dear friends.

For online condolences please visit chandlerfuneralhome.com 302-478-7100 MARY FRANCES BOREM HAYNES AGE: 81 WILMINGTON, DE Sandra Jo Brittingham passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 while surrounded by loved ones. Jo was born in Elizabeth City, NJ to the late Santos and Caroline Piazza. She had worked as a retail manager for many years. Jo was a cancer survivor who successfully beat cancer twice.

She was a member of Mt. Lebanon U. M. Church where she sang in the choir, attended bible study and played dominos. She loved reading, solving logic puzzles and enjoyed staying active by swimming and walking in the mall.

Jo was always on the go and loved dining out and shopping. But the real loves of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandson. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James M. Brittingham; her daughters, Debra Franklin and her husband Charles and Sharon Brittingham; her sister, Carolyn P. Carter; her grandchildren, Kelley Franklin and Charles (Chip) Franklin; her great grandson, Trevor Manz; her brother and sister in laws; and several nieces and nephews.

A gathering will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at the McCrery Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike (Rt. 202 South of Silverside Road) Wilmington, DE 19803. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 5th at 11:00 a.m. at Mt.

To send condolences visit: www.mccreryand harra.com. SANDRA JO BRITTINGHAM Age 87, of Sharpley, entered into rest on May 28, 2015 at her home. Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Rohe V. and Stella (Eller) Pennington. She received her B.A.

degree in 1949 from Berea College in Kentucky. She worked as a physical education teacher at Wilmington Friends School in the early 1960s before devoting her remaining years to volunteer work, primarily with the American Cancer Society. During her years of service, Evelyn served as a facilitator for the ACS smoking cessation program, FreshStart and was active in the Great American Smokeout. She was also a member of the IMPACT Delaware Coalition, which was successful in passing smoking legislation in Delaware in 1996. Through her public speaking, television appearances, radio educa- tional programs in schools, the Correctional Institution and corporations such as Hercules, DuPont, ICI, Zeneca and Delmarva Power, Evelyn reached thousands of Delawareans with her message about the hazards of smoking.

As a breast cancer survivor, greatest efforts were directed toward the early detection of breast cancer and support of breast cancer patients. She became the coordinator of Reach to Recovery, the Honorary Chair of the Tell-A-Friend program, and performed countless educational programs to women of all ages across the State of Delaware. She served as a member of the Board of Directors for both the Delaware Division and Wilmington Unit of the ACS. She also served as President of the Wilmington Unit of the ACS, the Women and Wellness Foundation and the Delaware Center for Wellness. She also served on the Lifestyles and Fitness Council and as a Director of the Settlement Association.

In 1990, Evelyn received the Outstanding Volunteer Award, as well as the Terese Lasser Award, the Ruby Lifesaver Award, and the St. Medal from the National Division of the ACS. proudest achievement, however, was her induction into the Hall of Fame of Delaware Wom- en in 1999, in recognition of her exemplary record of volunteer services. Evelyn was married to William C. Burkle for 45 years until his death in 1994.

She also leaves behind her daughter, Rebecca Burkle Riendeau and her husband Garry Riendeau of Farmington, CT; granddaughters, Sarah Spriestersbach Vocca and husband Mark Vocca and Emily Spriestersbach Vincent and husband Steven Vincent; great-granddaughters, Caileigh Ellsworth, Lily Vincent, Annie Vincent, Kelsey Vincent, Kayleigh Vocca and Kendall Vocca. She also leaves behind her brothers, Dr. James Pennington of Quarryville, PA and Bryan Pennington of Seattle, WA. She was predeceased by brothers Rohe Pennington, Joseph Pennington, Robert Pennington, Herbert Pennington and sisters Irene Pennington Reifsnyder, Jessie Pennington Smith and Elizabeth Pennington Raffensperger. A funeral service will be held at McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike at 11:00 am on Wednesday June 3 where family and friends may call after 10:00 am.

Online condolences visit: www.mccreryand harra.com EVELYN PENNINGTON BURKLE Sue Ann Lynch (nee Martin), died peacefully on May 27, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, PA. Born to the late C. Laurence and Mildred Van Nest Martin, she was a lifelong resident of West Chester, PA.

After graduating from Unionville High School, she received her Associates Degree in Business Administration from Goldey Beacom College in Wilmington. A member of Church of the Holy Trinity, she also was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star 352 as well as a recipient of the Amaranth degree. Her hobbies included bus trip tours to various states, traveling and recently Nascar. Sue Ann is survived by her husband of 39 years, Thomas A. Lynch, a sister, Millie McPhillips and husband Brian, a sister in law, Carol Nile and many nieces and nephews.

Maguire, a lifelong resident of Delaware, age 55, passed away in the early morning of May 26, 2015 at the Delaware Hospice of Milford DE from complications of hereditary kidney disease. He was the son of the late Elizabeth Knox Maguire and the late Bernard L. Maguire, Jr. Born in Asheville NC, Donald grew up in Perth, Brandywine Hundred and attended Foulk Road Pre-School, Foulk Road Elementary School and Springer Jr. High.

Donald graduated from the Hilltop School in Ithan, PA in 1977 and attended Wesley College in Dover. In recent years, Donald made his home in Dover. Donald is survived by a sister, Joann McCarthy of Brevard NC; a brother, The Reverend Bernard L. Maguire III of Plymouth Meeting PA; former wife, Michele Sylvester of Bethany Beach; their two children, Jessica Maguire (Freas) of Colorado Springs CO and Kyle Maguire of Brandywine Springs DE; and four grandchildren.
