INKSTER 1 dead, 4 hurt in overnight shootings One man died and four people were injured Sunday and Monday in shootings in Inkster. The bloody night began at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, when two people were shot at Lehigh and Mead-owdale off South Beech Daly, north of 1-94, Inkster Police Detective Anthony Delgreco said in a news release Monday. Both people are expected to recover. At 2:40 a.m.

Monday, officers were called to Lehigh and Moore, off Inkster Road, north of 1-94, when it was reported that shots were fired. Officers didn't find anything there. But a short time later, police were called to an area hospital where a man and woman arrived with gunshot wounds, saying they had been shot at Lehigh and Moore. The man died; the woman was shot in the arm, Delgreco said. Just before officers reached the hospital, the dead man's brother arrived with a gunshot wound, saying he had just been shot at Beech Street and Northland Avenue, near Michigan Avenue and Middlebelt, Delgreco said.

Delgreco said the shootings are under investigation as separate incidents. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers of Michigan at 800-773-2587. CLINTON TOWNSHIP Witnesses sought in fatal park shooting Clinton Township police are asking for information about a shooting in a township park Sunday night that left a 24-year-old resident dead. The shooting took place at 6:50 p.m. at Prince Drewry Park on Quinn Road, east of Gratiot, Clinton Township Police Capt.

Richard Maierle said Monday. The victim and the shooter had been arguing, he said. The man's family took him to McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mt. Clemens where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Investigators said they think the victim knew the man who shot him and hope witnesses will come forward.

"We know there was at least 20 people around," Maierle said. Anyone with information is asked to call the Clinton Township Police Department at 586-493-7847 or 586-493-7840. WATERFORD Man caught stealing things from cars Police want to return stolen items to owners after nabbing a man caught pilfering through cars at an apartment complex early Sunday. A resident called police at 5:55 a.m. to say that a man wearing gloves and carrying a flashlight was getting into cars parked outside the Glengary Park Apartments, near Williamsbury and Pontiac Lake Road, according to a release issued Monday.

Officers spotted an 18-year-old Southfield man getting out of a silver Pontiac in the parking lot and took him into custody as he tried to walk away. Officers found items in the teen's pockets that he admitted weren't his, Waterford Police Chief Daniel McCaw said in the release. "Not all of the property owners have been located, so if you live in or near this apartment complex, please check your vehicles and contact the Waterford Police Department if you are missing any items," McCaw said. The man was held in the Oakland County Jail pending a warrant. Anyone with information or who is missing items is asked to call the Waterford Police Department at 248-618-7550.

PONTIAC 3 sought in pizza delivery driver robbery Investigators are searching for three robbers, one possibly carrying a gun, who stripped a pizza delivery driver of his wallet, cell phone and cash Saturday night in Pontiac.
