Newsman Ray Doyle Dies Covering Story New York, Nov. 29 (PRay Doyle, veteran newspaper reporter known to criminals and prosecutors alike as a "right guy," collapsed and died in front of the United States Courthouse Tuesday night after covering a front-page spy story. He called in his story and moments later collapsed and died. Less than a week ago a jailbreaker and bank robber, Ray Delano Tate, 27, on the F.B.I.'s list of 10 most-wanted criminals gave himself up to Doyle.
