The youth is one of nearly 800 youths from twenty leading colleges and universities in the Nation who arrived at this huge military reservation over the past weekend. Cadet Williams is the son of Mr and Mrs. W.

J. Williams, Click Route and will be "in the army" for the next six weeks assimilating military knowledge by practical application of theories taught in the class rooms at their colleges. The youth, along with the hundreds of other cadets will receive a considerable amount of instruction and practice in leadership techniques and artillery tactics. He will be afforded the opportunity to fire, or see fired artillery weapons ranging in caliber and type from howitzers and guns, to missiles and rockets. lUe will also be given an opportunity to ride in a helicopter and acquaint himself with the other material utilized by the US Army's Artillery Branch.

Tlitha Ann Cornelius, 9 died early Wednesday morning July 16, at the home of her daugh ter, Mrs. Charlie Cornelius, ir Llano. Mrs. Cornelius was born in Llano County February 14 1866 the daughter of the late Mr. am Mrs.

Lafayette Davis. She was married to John William Cornel HIS. Mr. Cornelius died in 1924 There are thirteen sons and daughters surviving. Mrs.

Cornelius had lived most of her life in Llano County, also spending a few years at Lometa. I he eight surviving daughters are Mrs. Archie Ferguson of Paw- hsha, Oklahoma, Mrs. Zirro Marley of Bend, Mrs. Albert Conradt Mrs.

Floyd Crane, and Mrs. Arthur Martin, all of Lometa Mrs. Ed Hopper of Brownwood Mrs. Lawrence Doss of Martin Mrs. Charlie Anderson of The five sons include Virgil Cornelius of Burnet.
