The maid of honor wore a chiffon gown shading from orchid to deepest purple, with a purple hairbraid hat and carried a colonial bouquet of pink roses, baby's breath and shasta daisies. The bride's mother wore a flowered chiffon gown in pastel shades accented with a purple velvet girdle with purple slippers, with a shoulder bouquet of orchids. The ceremony was followed by an informal reception. The bride's table was covered with a lace cloth and decorated with a silver urn filled with pink roses and daisies, and lighted with white wax tapers in silver candlesticks. The wedding cake held the place of honor on this table.
