Satur- Bowling Green woman faces 'soring' charge A information was filed in U.S. District Court at Bowling Green yesterday charging a Bowling Green woman, Madrian Lee, with violating the federal Horse Protection Act of 1970. U.S. Atty. George J.

Erwin Robert Pohl, 68, co-owner and cooperator of the Mammoth Onyx Cave, will be at 3 p.m. today at the Winn Funeral Home here. He died Wednesday at Norton Memorial Infirmary, Louiville. He had served on the Kentucky National Park Commission and had been a National Park Service geologist assigned to Mammoth Cave National Park and the Washington, D.C., offices of the park service. He also had been one of the owners of the Floyd Collins Crystal Cave, which was sold to the government some years ago.

Pohl was a native of Loudonville, and had received his PhD. from Georgetown University at Washington, D.C. He had been appointed as an adjunct professor at Western Kentucky University, served five years as secretary of the state Fish Game Commission and was a leader in the establishment of the Caverna Memorial Hospital at Horse Cave, serving as chairman of the board of directors at the time of his death. Survivors include his wife, the former Ruth Thomas, and a brother, F. Alan Pohl, of Albany, N.Y.

52 Cloudy Vienna P.M. 45 Partly Cloudy Warsaw 1 P.M. 36 Rain Head-on collision kills two students Associated Press Two Western Kentucky University students were killed and two other persons injured yesterday in a head-on crash about five miles east of Auburn on U.S. 68. State police at Bowling Green identified the victims as Norene Ellen Fisher, 19, of Horse Cave, the driver of one of the cars, and a passenger, Amy Susan Whitledge, 19, of Kuttawa.

Taken to a hospital were Karen Fisher, 16, Horse Cave, a passenger in the Fisher car, and Mary Joyce York, 31, Rockfield. The York woman was identified as the driver of the other car. State police also reported the death of Carter Pierce, 71, Somerset, in a traffic accident on U.S. 27 near his home town. Officials said Pierce's vehicle collided with another vehicle six miles south of Somerset.
