Joseph Infirmary at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. He had suffered a heart attack at his home at 822 Milton. He was an operating engineer No. cool the Merchants Ice and Cold Storage He is survived by his widow, the former Ruby Fay Sublett; two daughters, Mrs.

C. L. Smalley and Mrs. Billie M. Harris; a son, Wallace E.

Smith and 13 grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Russman and Son Funeral Home, 1041 Goss, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Anna E.

Bittner, 76, of 307 N. at Memorial Infirmary at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday. She was the former Anna E. Magness and was a native of New Albany, Ind.

She is survived by a son, Jimmy Bittner. The funeral will be at Wesley Chapel Methodist Church in New Albany at 11:30 a.m. Friday. The body is at Ratterman's, a 2114 W. Market.

Mrs. Lena Barnett, 78, 41 College Court, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday at Red Cross Hospital. Survivors include four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 8 p.m.

Thursday at Hathaway Clark Funeral Home, 2718 Virginia with burial Friday in Greenwood Cemetery. The body at the funeral home after noon Thursday. Mrs. Edward J. Reiss 73, of 115 W.

Hill, died at 3 p.m. Wednesday at her home. She was the former Edyth Bruner. Survivors include a niece and a nephew. The body will be at Bosse Funeral Home, Barret and Ellison, after 2 p.m.

Thursday. Mrs. Effie Goodman Mudd, 81, of 4320 Dohn 1 Drive, Shively, died at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday at her home. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs.

James O. Evans, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 10 a.m. CDT Saturday at Ellis Funeral Home, Caneyville, with burial in Rabbit Flat Cemetery, Grayson County. The body will be at W.

G. Hardy Shively Funeral Home, 4101 Dixie Highway, until 10 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Robert P.

McMakin, 79, of Crestwood, died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mallory Hospital, LaGrange. She former Elizabeth Katherine Hitt and was a native of Oldham County. Mrs. McMakin was a member of Crestwood Christian Church, the Poplar Grove Homemakers Club and the Crestwood Golden Age Club.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Robert C. McMakin of Lyndon; a daughter, Mrs. Howard Raplee; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at M.

A. Stoess Sons Funeral Home, Crestwood, with burial in Floydsburg Cemetery. The body will be at the funeral home after 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Arey William (Pappy) Powell, 71, was pronounced dead at Jewish Hospital at 3:45 p.m.

Tuesday. He died of a heart attack. He lived at 3127 New Millers Lane. He was a native of Lexington, and he owned and operated an auto-parts company at his home address for 54 years. Survivors include his widow, the former Sadie Angell; four sons, Edgar George, Jess W.

and Thomas E. Powell; two stepsons, Joseph D. and Donald R. Miles; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Betty J.

Hughes, of Cleveland, Ohio; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 2611 Virginia, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Mrs. Margaret Oldham, '58, died at 10:15 p.m.

Tuesday at General Hospital. She lived at 1565 Oneida Court. She is survived by a son, Charles Watts. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. n.

Friday at Arch L. Heady Southern Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. James Bailey's funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Clay Street Baptist Church, Shelbyville, with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Shelbyville. The body is at Sassell Funeral Home, Shelbyville.

Bailey, 19, died Tuesday. Mrs. William H. DeForester, formerly of 148 N. Bayly, died Wednesday in Tucson, Ariz.

There are no survivors. She was the former Leonetta Ludwig. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Bosse Funeral Home, Barret and Ellison. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. George Seidenfaden, 77, of 919 Mulberry, died at 12:20 a.m. Wednesday in St. Anthony Hospital. She was the former Josephine Ahrens and was a native of Atlanta, Ga.

She was a tailor at Schupp and Snyder until she retired three years ago. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Olga G. Kuhn and Mrs. F. Wilber Metzroth; a son, Aloysius J.

Kuhn; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 1020 E. Burnett, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.

The body is at the Russman and Son Funeral Home, 1041 Goss. Fred Herman Voelker, 77, died at Kentucky Baptist Hospital Tuesday at 10:20 p.m. He lived at 6911 Wolf Pen Branch Road, Prospect. He was a veteran of World War I and was a farmer. He retired in 1960.

He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Church in Louisville. He is survived by his widow, the former Ella Mae Middleton; four sons, Louis Lawson, John, Fred and Albert Voelker; four daughters, Mrs. Phillip Hackett, Mrs. George Rixman, Mrs.

James Callahan and Mrs. Jerome Meyer; 44 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the M. A.

Stoess and Sons Funeral Home, Crestwood, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, East. Mrs. Winfield S. Morrison, 89, died at Heritage House nursing home, 3535 Bardstown Road at 2 a.m. Wednesday.

She formerly lived at 2001 Eastview. She was the former Abbie Williams and was a native of Daviess County. She was a of the Second Church of Christ, Scientist. Survivors include a son, Keith Morrison, and two grandsons. Graveside services will be at the Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro, at 3 p.m.

CDT Friday. body is at the Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Morris Abraham, 76, a retired merchant, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Heritage Housed nursing whome: 3535 Bardstown He 2716 Alanmede Road. At one time he operated a shoe store in New Albany.

He was a member of St. George Masonic Lodge, the Kosair Shrine, the American Legion and the Sertoma Club. He is survived by his widow, Gertrude; a. daughter, Mrs. Jack Benjamin, and two grandchildren.

Terry Douglas Hartmann's funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Adkins-Radcliffe Funeral Home, LaGrange, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, East. He died Tuesday at his home in Westport.

William Devol, 74, of 1638 Melligan, died at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday at Veterans Hospital. He was a native of New Albany. He was a retired employe of PriceLucas and was World War I veteran. Survivors include a sister, Mrs.

Estelle Hutton; and a brother, Edward Devol, of Elwood, Ind. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Dunn Memorial Funeral Home, 518 N. 26th, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. The body will be at the funeral home after 2 p.m.

V-68 Joseph Rodes, Clothing Store Founder, Dies grandchildren and a Joseph Burch Rodes, one of the founders of the Rodes-Rapier a men's furnishings store, died at 6:30 a.m. yesterday at Mount Holly Nursing Home. He was 73. Rodes, who was a former president and chairman of the board, had been retired for several years. He lived at 22 River Hill Road.

Rodes is survived by his widow, the former Barbara Burge; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph P. Dumesnil J. Rodes, president of RodesRapier; a sister, Mrs. W.

Reed Embry; 10 Joseph B. Rodes great-grandchild. He was a member of the Louisville Country Club. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at St.

Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church, 6710 Wolf Pen Branch Road, Harrods Creek. Burial in Cave Hill Cemetery will be private. The body is at Pearson's, 149 Breckinridge Lane. Thursday. Jesse E. Landers, 72, of Shelbyville, died at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday at King's Daughters Hospital, Shelbyville. Survivors include his widow, the former Clemmie Yount; a son, Charles E.

Landers of Shelbyville Rt. four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Shannon Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with burial in Grove Hill Cemetery there. Mrs.

Ella Hitt Swann, 93, died about 2 a.m. Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Hampton Brown, 615 Sunnyside Drive. She was native of LaGrange, and lived most of her life in Pewee Valley, Ky. She was a member of Crestwood Baptist Church for more than 50 years, where she taught in the Sunday School.

She was postmaster at Pewee Valley from 1916 to 1918. She was employed in the Louisville Nashville Railroad's freight accounting office from 1918 to 1938, when she retired. She is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Seneca C. Routt; a son, Harry R.

Swann; a sister, Mrs. Lottie Head; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at M. A.
