THE COURIER-JOURNAL, LOUISVILLE, FRIDAY MORNING, JUNE 21. 1963 13 Dr. I. M. Garred Of Morehead Dies Louisville Medical School in ship at Good Samaritan Hospital He was a member of the American Medical Association, Kentucky Medical Association, and the Rowan County Medical Society.

He was a past chairman of the Rowan County Board of Health. He was a member of First Methodist Church at Morehead, Sons of the American Revolution, and International Order Odd Fellows. Surviving are his wife, the former Martha Curtis; a daughter, Mrs. James Hardy- 1932. He served his internhere.

Special to The Courier- Journal Lexington, June I. M. Garred, who practiced medicine in Rowan County for 33 years, died at 11:30 a.m, Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital here. He lived at Morehead.

Dr. Garred, a native of Louisa, was graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1928 and the University of mon, Portland, three sisters, Mrs. Rice K. Braley, Ashland, Mrs. L.

C. Richmond, Milton, W. and Mrs. Lon Arrington, Louisa, and two brothers, Dr. U.

V. Garred, Whiting, Iowa, and Dr. E. W. Garred, Catlettsburg.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Methodist Church, Morehead; burial in Lexington Cemetery. The body is at Stucky Funeral Home, Morehead. Weather Aide Until '49 Dies At 74 Word has been received here of the death of Joseph F. Jungermann, 74, formerly an assistant meteorologist for the Weather Bureau here.

He died June 8 at Fort Lauderdale, where he moved in 1949 from Louisville after retiring from the Weather He was with the Bureausville bureau from 1931 to 1949, and before that he served in Columbia, S. Miami, and the Mount Weather experimental station in Virginia near Washington, D. C. He joined the Weather Bureau in 1912. Headed Casting Club He was a native of New York City and a graduate of the College of the City of New York.

While in Louisville, he was president and a director of the Casting Club, a director the Sportsman Club, and a member of the Jefferson County Gun Club, and the Revolver Club. He also was active in Boy Scout work. He was buried in Fort Lauderdale. MRS. THOMAS C.

PERKINS Mrs. Thomas C. Perkins, 35, the former Margaret Corcoran of Belmar, N. died at 4:20 p.m. Thursday at Kentucky Baptist Hospital.

She lived at 419 N. 28th. Her husband is manager of the Surety Gas Oil Station at Seventh and Oak. Surviving are her husband and her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

William Corcoran, Belmar. The body will be at Ratterman's, 2114 W. Market, after 2 p.m. Friday. Blood Center Curbs Supply Because Donations Drop A seasonal drop in blood donations has forced the Louisville Regional Blood Center of the Red Cross to curtail the supply to hospitals for nonemergency cases.

Miss Evelyn Fleming, administrator of the center, said about 700 pints a week were donated the past two weeks. The weekly demand averages about 1,100 pints. It is a chronic summer problem, Miss Fleming said: "Many prospective donors are on vacation, along with some of our recruiters." M. MADDOX The funeral and burial of Mrs. William M. Maddox, who died Monday at Arlington, her home, were Thursday at London, Ky. Mrs.

Maddox, the former Bess Bryant, lived in Louisville until 10 years ago. Survivors are her husband; a son, John B. Taylor, Los Angeles; three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Froelicher, Covington; Mrs. Ethel Morgan, London, and Mrs.

Nell Ruppel, Walton, and three brothers, Russell Bryant, Bryant, Waycross, and Greensboro, Layton Herbert Bryant. Frankfort, June 20 (P- State police said Thursday Kentucky's traffic toll for the year has risen to 323 after the death of a woman at Kuttawa in Lyon County. Louisville-Area Deaths LOWELL R. UEBELE Lowell R. Uebele, 65, of 116 Bonner, died at 6 a.m. Thursday at the Methodist Evangelical Hospital. He was a native of Elwood, Ind.

Uebele was a fiscal officer at the Veterans Hospital for more than 35 years. He stopped working about three weeks ago because of illness. He was an Army veteran of World War and a member of Atwood Wesleyan Methodist Church. Survivors are his wife, the former Aurie E. Billheimer; a son, Lowell Uebele; a sister, Miss Ruth Uebele, CenC.

Mrs. Stamper, 91, died Tuesday morning at Southern Convalescent Home in Miami, Fla. moved to Florida 20 years ago. She was the widow of E. D.

Stamper. Mrs. Stamper was a former member of Highland Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Orien Penfield, Miami; a son, William L.

Stamper, New York City, and eight grandchildren. The body will be at Herbert C. Cralle Funeral Home, 2824 Frankfort, after noon Friday. MRS. L.

G. GRATIOT The funeral was Tuesday in High Point, N. for Mrs. Laurina Gardner Gratiot, a former Louisville resident who died Monday in High Point. Surviving is a son, Dr.

Marshall was a charter member of Beechwood Baptist Church and was a native of Jefferson County. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth R. Delk; a son, William G. Marshall; a brother, Norman Gregory, and four grandchildren.
