I. M. Garred, who practiced medicine in Rowan County for 33 years, died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital here.

He lived at Morehead. Dr. Garred, a native of Louisa, was graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1928 and the University of Louisville Medical School in 1932. He served his internship at Good Samaritan Hospital here. MRS.

BENNETT THOMPSON Mrs. Bennett Thompson, the former Mary Catherine Hay-den, died Wednesday at 11 p.m. at her home, 806 Fetter. She was 61. She was a native of New Hope, Ky.

Her husband is a unit manager of the Pillsbury Company. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Clark Ernst; four sisters, Mrs, Helen Miller of Indianapolis, Mrs. Alma Abcll of Cincinnati, Mrs. Teresa Norris, and Mrs.

Winnie Cambron; a brother, Frank Hayden, and four grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Rattcrman's, 2815 S. Fourth. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

DONALD C. MOYER Donald C. Moyer, 30, died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday on the way to St. Joseph Infirmary.

Moyer, a native of Enola, was stricken while helping movers carry an organ up to his second-floor apartment in the Sherman Apartments, 1910 S. Third. ALONZO BROYLES Alonzo Broyles, 85, died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday at his home on Wolf Pen Branch Road, Prospect. A native of Jefferson County, he was a retired farmer.

He was a member of Worthington Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife, the former Lily Bell Miller; three sons, William A. Broyles, Crest-wood, and John W. and Roy T. Broyles, Prospect, and four grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at M. A. Stoess 4 Sons Funeral Home, Crest-wood. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.

MRS. G. P. THEOBALD Mrs. Griffin P.

Theobald, 89, the former Lena James, died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday at Anne Lynne Manor nursing home, 105 Lyndon Lane, Lyndon. She lived at 523 Country Lane. A Nashville native, she had lived in Louisville for the past 70 years. She was a member of Crescent Hill Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son, Robert J. Theobald, and a grandchild. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pearson's, 149 Breckinridge Lane. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery.

He was a member of the MRS. WILLIAM TARKINGTON The funeral for Mrs. William Tarkington, 52, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Joshua Tabernacle Baptist Church. Burial will be in Eastern Cemetery.

Mrs. Tarkington, the former Willie Mae Booker, was killed In a two-car collision late Saturday near Centerville, Tenn. The body will be at the R. G. May Funeral Home, 719 E.

Chestnut, after 6 p.m. Friday. MRS. C. G.

MARSHALL Mrs. Charles G. Marshall, 79, the former Viola Gregory, died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at her home, 314 Ring Road. Her husband died in 1960.

Mrs. Marshall was a charter member of Beechwood Baptist Church and was a native of Jefferson County. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth R. Delk; a son, William G.

Marshall; a brother, Norman Gregory, and four grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Beechwood Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery. The body is at Pearson's, 149 Breckinridge Lane.

LOWELL R. UEBELE Lowell R. Uebele, 65, of 116 Bonner, died at 6 a.m. Thursday at the Methodist Evangelical Hospital.

He was a native of Elwood, Ind. Uebele was a fiscal officer at the Veterans Hospital for more than 35 years. He stopped working about three weeks ago because of illness. He was an Army veteran of World War and a member of Atwood Wesleyan Methodist Church. Survivors are his wife, the former Aurie E.

Billheimer; a son, Lowell C. Uebele; a sister, Miss Ruth C. Uebele, Central, S.C., and two grandsons. The funeral will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the Arch L.

Heady Southern Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Boulevard, and at 1 p.m. at Atwood Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Louisville Memorial Gardens. MRS. HELEN STAMPER Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m.

Saturday at Resthaven Memorial Park for Mrs. Helen Stamper, a former Louisville resident. Mrs. Stamper, 91, died Tuesday morning at Southern Convalescent Home in Miami, Fla. She moved to Florida 20 years ago.

She was the widow of E. D. Stamper. Mrs, Stamper was a former member of Highland Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, and many, many others rAiiTiirni.i rimnixs aodeiy.

MRS. W. M. MADDOX The funeral and burial of Mrs. William M.

Maddox, who died Monday at Arlington, her home, were Thursday at London, Ky. Mrs. Maddox, the former Bess Bryant, lived in Louisville until 10 years ago. Survivors are her husband; a son, John B. Taylor, Los Angeles; three sisters, Mrs.

Lucille Froelicher, Covington; Mrs. Ethel Morgan, London, and Mrs. Nell Ruppel, Walton, and three brothers, Russell Bryant, Greensboro, N. Layton Bryant, Waycross, and Herbert Bryant. OKEX3Y A Word has been received here of the death of Joseph F.

Jungermann, 74, formerly an assistant meteorologist for the Weather Bureau here. He died June 8 at Fort Lauderdale, where he moved in 1949 from Louisville after retiring from the Weather Bureau. He was with the Louisville bureau from 1931 to 1949, and before that he served in Columbia, S. Miami, and the Mount Weather experimental station in Virginia near Washington, D. C.

He joined the Weather Bureau in 1912. Headed Casting Club He was a native of New York City and a graduate of the College of the City of New York. While in Louisville, he was president and a director of the Casting Club, a director of the Sportsman Club, and a member of the Jefferson County Gun Club, and the Revolver Club. He also was active in Boy Scout work. He was buried in Fort Lauderdale.

MRS. THOMAS C. PERKINS Mrs. Thomas C. Perkins, 35, the former Margaret Corcoran of Belmar, N.

died at 4:20 p.m. Thursday at Kentucky Baptist Hospital. She lived at 419 N. 28th. Her husband is manager of the Surety Gas Oil Station at Seventh and Oak.

Surviving are her husband and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Corcoran, Belmar. The body will be at Ratter-man's, 2114 W. Market, after 2 p.m.

Louisville hospital administrators said the situation is not critical. The blood center supplies 33 Kentucky and Indiana counties with blood. ffh a rvn A seasonal drop in blood donations has forced the Louisville Regional Blood Center of the Red Cross to curtail the supply to hospitals for nonemergency cases. Miss Evelyn Fleming, administrator of the center, said about 700 pints a week were donated the past two weeks. The weekly demand averages about 1,100 pints.

It is a chronic summer problem, Miss Fleming said: "Many prospective donors are on vacation, along with some of our recruiters."
