The 75 dancers came to America solely for this one program. "Cinderella" will be telecast cn Channel 3 in color and black-and-white tomorrow from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

"Cinderella" is choreographed Frederick Ashton, who is di- recting the television version. It is danced to the Serge Prokofiev At 2:15, the running of the Debutante Stakes will be televised, followed by "They're Off." five 15-mioute interview programs on celebrities, filmf of past Derbies and such features. The Columbia network will take over at 4 p.m. with "Kentucky Derby Preview" for 15 minutes, and then the race at 4:15.

But that Isn't all. At 6:30, Channel 11 will present "Derby Week, 1957," Milton Met narrating film clips of events of the Derby Festival week and films of the race. WHAS radio will air the Face of the day daily from the Downs, with WHAS Sportscaster Ca-wood Ledford describing the running and Brownie Leach, public-relations director of the track, providing the color during the entira spring meeting. Channel 11 also will televise the Louisville Handicap on May 11 and the Bashford Manor Stakes on May 18; and still later in the season, C.B.S. will carry the Preakness on May 18 and the Belmont Stakes on June 15.

Channel 3 on Thursday night will televise an hour of the Derby Festival Parade as it passes the station at Preston and Broadway (9 to 10 p.m.). THE EYES of the sports world will be trained on Louisville this week for the Kentucky Derby and because of that event, the CB S. eye also is beamed on Churchill Downs. The race will be televised nationally and on Channel 11, from 4:15 to 4:45 p.m. Saturday.

WHAS and Channel 11 will broadcast and telecast several other races from Churchill Downs during Derby Week. The Derby Trial on Tuesday, the Churchill Downs Handicap on Thursday and the Kentucky Oaks on Friday will be televised from 4:45 to 5:15 p.m. Bryan Field and the Downs track announcer, Gene Schmidt, will call these races. The Derby will be handled by Fred Capossela, with Bryan Field on "color" and Phil Sutterfield in the winner's circle. On Derby Day itself, WHAS-TV will use Pete French, Phyllis Knight, Sam Allgood and Jim Walton to describe the color and excitement of the crowd.

Two mobile units, six cameras, three producers, six assistant producers and 14 technicians will be at the track to make sure everything runs at least as well as the horses. Channel 11 will begin the Derby buildup at 2 p.m. with "The Derby Picture," from the track. The 16-hour show will be at Memorial Auditorium starting at 10 p.m. May 18 and running continuously until 2 p.m. May 19.

Pinky, whose N.B.C.-TV series for children ended after Pinky suffered a severe illness a year ago, was one of the most popular shows on the daytime air with the younger set. He is now working on a filmed series yet to be released, "Perils of Pinky." In Dickering Stage William G. McBride of the Jaycees and WAVE manager George Patterson are dickering with other stars, a well-known boy singer, a girl singer and another performer. One of the stars of last year's "Bids for Kids," Johnny Desmond, was such a terrific personality on the show that there have been numerous requests, McBride says, for his return. Whether he is available is still unknown.

WHEN ASKED if the Derby Eve fight from the Fairgrounds here would be telecast Friday night, George Patterson, program director of WAVE, said, "I do not know." The series of which this fight is a feature usually is seen on WAVE-TV Fridays at 9 p.m. WAVE-TV program log' lists the program for 9 on Friday "to be announced." William King, Louisville promoter, declined to be quoted. The usual reason for blacking out a fight in the area where it occurs is to protect the gate receipts, promoters feeling receipt's will suffer if the fight is telecast. It also is not unusual for promoters to maintain they do not know whether there will be a telecast until they see how the advance seat sale goes.

It is usual to black out championship fights on TV in the area where they are held. This Friday's is not a championship fight, and it is distinctly not the usual policy to black out non-championship battles. While most New York executives of Maxon, the advertising agency which handles the account, were unavailable for comment, those who were said there had been no provision, "so far as we know," for blacking out the fight in Louisville. Thus it appears, despite the "to be announced" line in today's WAVE-TV schedule, that the fight will be seen in Louisville Friday night. If it is not, it will represent a big change in policy.

When the same two boys fought in Miami some time ago the fight was telecast in Miami. Dill Ladd Judith Waller, Veteran of Radio, Slated To Retire Special to The Courier-Journal CHICAGO, April 27. Judith Waller, 35 years in broadcasting the last 26 years as N.B.C. public-affairs director will retire this week. Miss Waller, one of the real old-timers of educational-radio programs, inaugurated "Chicago Round Table" as radio's first discussion program.

In recent years, she has been working on educational programs, developing them and producing them for N.B.C. Miss Waller started in radio in 1922 as manager of what is now Chicago.
