(J) A 21- year-old Hungarian-born GI was flying back lo Ihc United States today on a monthlong "morale" furlough from Korea for a reunion with his parents, Hlungarian refugees themselves only 11 days. This Christmas holiday is going to be an extremely merry one for Pfc. Victor Laczo for it be the first time he has seen his mother and father, Karoly and Gizclla Laczo, since he came to America seven years ago.

The Laczos and an adopted daughter, Erika, arrived at Camp IKilmer, N.J., Dec. 13 and are now living In a Bethlehem apartment arranged for them by the woman's aunt. Mrs. Frank Bess- enhoffer of suburban Miller Heights. night.

Latest Refugees Settle in Homes for Christmas MILWAUKEE 24 Hungarian refugees who arrived here Friday night all are settled in new homes for Christmas. Nine of the refugees remained In Milwaukee, while 15 others departed Saturday for homes elsewhere. A family of six went to Chicago. One couple went to Beloit to live, while two single men went to Waupaca. Racine was the destination of five other persons.

Friday's arrivals were the third group of refugees to come to Milwaukee from Europe. Not all of the 124 arrivals have remained in Milwaukee or Wisconsin. Charles O'Neill of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, which welcomed the Hungarians, said there were no plans for any joint Christmas celebration for the refugees. He said it would be better if they can observe Christmas in their new homes.

Jobs for some of the newest arrivals were found Saturday by the Wisconsin Employment Service. He told ambulance driver Lonnie Nichols he had been look ing for bottles to sell "so could buy Mommy a Cliristmas present." He had already collected 16 cents for bottles when he went to the railroad yards. On his way to the hospital, he told Nichols he had lost the 16 cents.

Nichols told the story at the hospital. Someone handed Nichols some cash. Before long police, firemen and railroad employes heard about it, and contributed. Nichols hasn't revealed how much was collected, but he says there was plenty lor a present. And what is left over will provide the nucleus of a fund for artificial limbs.
