Nov. 25 V- Thir- tccn top officials of the Distillery Workers Union bowed Monday to an A.F.L.-C.I.O. cleanup order and resigned. The move opened the way for flection of new officers at a special convention here.

Resigning were Joseph D. O'Neill. Chicago, and George J. Oneto, Union City, N. both of whom claimed the union presi- dency, and the union's 11 cxecu- live-board members.

A.F.L.-C.1.0. spokesmen said I A ir uihet and Quit I 0. in administering union welfare funds. The distillery workers were placed (in probation by the F.L 0. executive council last May after disclosures of alleged "kickbacks" by a Senate subcommittee.

The union also was censured for not taking drastic action against former secretary -treav urer Sol Cilcnto, New York. He was accused of sharing in half million dollars in "kickbacks" through union insurance deals. Although the A.F.L.-C.I.O. charges of misuse of union wel fare funds did not name all the union officers, the entire group resigned to allow the union to make a fresh start. Mrs. Lillian Dennis, 39, mother of 11 children, pleaded guilty to contributing to thp delin quency of a minor after her 10-year-old son was arrested for stealing $104 from a clothing store.
