Miss Wolf later teamed with Barr to gain the semi-finals in the mixed doubles. The score was 6-3, 6-i.

The winners will go against Earl Bossong and Beet Nichols, the Cincinnati entry, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock for the title. Lefty Revenge Defeat. Bryan's triumph over Simons and that of McDiarmid over Barr sent the two seeded stars. No. 1 and No, 2 respectively, into the final contest.

Coincidentally, the pair rank thir tieth and thirty-first nationally. Lefty's victory completely assuaged the stinging defeat the Louisvillian gave him in the quarter-finals of the Kentucky state. The battle might safely be termed one of reciprocity for Bryan declared openly some time ago that the prospect of another meeting with Simons was one of his chief reasons for remaining in the Palls Cities. Lefty was master throughout and at no time did Simons appear to have complete confidence in himself. Lefty, on the other hand, pinged a few easy shots at the outset, but from then on in smashed and drove the pellet all over' the courts.

Occasionally Simons gave the Tennessee southpaw some trouble, but he was inconsistent and erratic. McDiarmid was Just a little too clever and persistent for the lanky Barr. Barr spent most of hte time in the backcourts while McDiarmid went to the net frequently for points. The victory was McDiarmid's second over Barr in as many weeks. The No.

2 star beat Barr in the Kentucky meet last week. ST. LUKE RALLIES TO BEAT ST. JOHN BY 9-5 (Continued from Page 2.) Baptist Tabernacle, 12 to 8. St.
