Barnes. The wedding of Miss Anne Haxall Dudley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Underwood Dudley of Middleburg. and Dr.

John Louis Newell, of Boston, son of Mrs. J. L. Newell of Brookline. took place at 4:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Emanuel Protestant Episcopal Church in Middleburg.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Harry Shepherd Musson of Louisville and the Rev. D. Campbell Mayers, rector of the Emanuel Church. The bride wore a wedding gown of white satin and point applique lace with a long tulle veil falling from a cap of lace, which had a band of orange blossoms, she carried a shower bouquet of lilies of the valley.

Miss Rosalie Merrill Noland of Richmond, cousin cf the bride, was the maid of honor. She wore blue mousseline de soie with a blue hat. Misses Louise Haxall Harris and Busan Haxall Frost of Baltimore, cousins of the bride, were the bridesmaids. They were gowned in peach olored mousseline de soie with hats match. All the bride's attendants Carried arm bouquets of garden flowers.

John Rogers Flather of Lowell, Kir-by Pisk and Dr. Lee Kendall of New York. The ceremcny was followed by a large reception at Exning, the country home of the bride's parents, in Loudoun County, near Middleburg. The bride is a granddaughter of the late Rt. Rev.

Thomas U. Dudley, Bishop of Kentucky has many relatives in Louisville. She is a graduate of the Foxcrcft School and made her debut both in Virginia and at the Bachelors Cotillion in Baltimore. Dr. Newell is a graduate of Harvard, class of 1926 and of the Harvard Medical School, class of 1930.

At the conclusion of their wedding trip. Dr. Newell and Mrs. Newell will make their home in Boston. Mass.
