Nourse had practiced urology for 54 years, taught at IU logical Association in 1970 and past president of the American Association of Genitourinary Surgeons. He had served on the board of directors of the Little Red Door Cancer Agency.

He also had been a professor at Indiana University School of Medicine. He was a 32nd degree member of Mystic Tie Masonic Lodge and a member of Scottish Rite and Meridian Hills Country Club. A 1936 graduate of Drake University, he was a 1940 graduate of the State University of Iowa Medical School and a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 26. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Pitkin Nourse; children Robert Nourse, Marti Umphrey; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Leon Meyers, 75, Franklin, died April 19. He had worked 10 years for Dyno-One, Columbus. Previously, he worked for Bob Glidden Enterprises. He was a member of Teamsters Local 135.

He also was a member and past chairman of the Section on Urology of the American Medical Association, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Nourse was president of North Central Section of the American Uro- Betty J. Fletcher Riffal Avery, 74, Martinsville, died April 18.

He was a member of St. Mark AME Zion Church and was president of Civil Service Conservation Club.
