Mr. Ronan was a 50-year patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Martha Poe chapter; a 60-year member of Rush Masonic Lodge; and a life member of the Indianapolis Scottish Rite. Memorial contributions may be made to Arlington Christian Church, of which he was a 75-year member. He was the widower of Bertha M. Stapp Ronan.

1. A lifetime member of the Rushvtlle Republican Party, he served as Rush County commissioner from 1980 to 1984. Mr. Ronan also served as Rush County auditor from 1968 to 1976. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. She died July 29- Mrs. Marbury Mrs. Marbury was principal of Indianapolis Public School 87 for 39 years, retiring in 1967. She was one of the first female and black principals in Indianapolis.

She also taught nine years for IPS 26. She had been director of practice training of teachers from Butler and Indiana Stale universities and had taught in the summer program at Morehouse College, Atlanta. 3, 2000 Pastor Mary Sadler was church, community leader 100, had been 87 principal was a charter member of the Butler Minority Alumni Council, which she helped establish. She received her master's degree from Columbia University, New York. She was one of the founders of the collegiate sorority Sigma Gamma Rho, which she served nationally as first vice president. Mrs. Marbury was a member of the Council of Administrative Women and the National Council of Negro Women Indianapolis Section.

She also was block chairwoman of the Butler-Tar-kington Neighborhood Association. She was inducted into the Golden Legionnaire Club at Butler University and awarded the Butler Medal, the highest honor given to a graduate for service to the community and the world. She was the widow of Robert Marbury Sr. Survivors: children Robert Marbury Judy Corpening; great-niece and guardian Dr. Emmagee Washington: great-nephew and guardian Keni Washington: several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

chaplain of the Juvenile Detention Center and was active in the prison ministry at the Pendleton Correctional Facility for many years. She had also been a substitute teacher for Washington Township Schools and was a parent-teacher liaison for Indianapolis Public Schools. Pastor Sadler had also been a home health-care provider with St. Vincent Hospital, worked for Crown Laundry Dry Cleaners and had been a licensed cosmetologist for more than 40 years. She was president of Grandview Civic Association.

Pastor Sadler was a foster parent to 25 children. She was a graduate of Martin University. Pastor Sadler was the widow of Albert C. Sadler Sr. Survivors: children James, Willa, Michael, Thaddeus.

She worked at the Fort Benjamin Harrison commissary for 12 years, retiring in 1978. Previously, she was a general manager for MCL Cafeterias. Mrs. Blackeler was the past president of Internationally Yours and Fortville American Legion Auxiliary. She was a volunteer for Community Hospitals Indianapolis and Sugar Creek Convalescent Nursing Center, Greenfield.

Paul O. Goble, 65, Morristown, Morristown High School track and cross-country coach, died Aug. 2. Mr. Goble was head track and field coach for 15 years and was head coach of the boys and girls cross-county team for 13 years at the high school.

He was a renovation foreman 31 years for St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove. Mr. Goble was a member of Runners Forurn in Indianapolis and the corporate running team at St. Francis Hospital.

He was named Citizen of the Year by the Morristown Lions Club in 1995. NAOMI WOOD DETTY, 77, Indianapolis, died July 31. Before retiring, she was a supervisor for the Indiana Department of Civil Defense. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Services: 1 p.m.

She died July 29. Pastor Sadler was pastor of Jesus House of Prayer Temple ri II 11111111111111111 ii 1 Pastor Sadler Church, which she founded in 1991. She was hoping to start holding serv ices later this month in a building at 3450 N. Illinois which is being renovated as the church's new home. In association with the church, she organized the Home of Second Chance.

The organization is a shelter for homeless people and donates food and clothing to people in need. Pastor Sadler served as assistant MARTHA LUCILLE SWEET ADER, 91. Indianapolis, died Aug. 1. She was a homemaker.
