Soccer competition begins at 10 a.m. at the Lawrence Soccer Fields, followed by bowling, which begins at noon at the Western Bowl. Weigh-ins for judo and wrestling will take place at 2 p.m. at Arsenal Technical High School. Individual all-day passes are available at the venue gates each day for $5.00.

The event, which is Indiana's only statewide amateur multi-sports festival, begins today and will run through Sunday.

Nearly 190,000 athletes have participated in the state games since 1983, including more than 20,500 last year. The competition provides athletes of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to compete in Olympic and Pan American Games sports. This year, the state games will hold competition In basketball (5-on-5 and 3-on-3), bowling, cycling, diving, figure skating, 5-mile run 3-mile walk, golf, gymnastics, Judo, racquetball, soccer, softball, swimming, table tennis, tennis, track and field, volleyball, water polo, and wrestling.
